Small update to my fiancée's SBR. Forgive me the lowly phone pics.
New light setup, muzzle device and suppressor. I need to tie back the shock cords to keep the switch cable secure, but I was too lazy to do that.
It still lacks a proper stock, optic, inner barrel and some internal work on the hopup and the fire selector.
Since I could not find an M4-2000 can yet, I gave a try to a PTS Griffin one. Sadly it does not suit this build as good as the AAC but the M4SDII is a great product nevertheless.
Compared to an AAC LW version, there are improvements:
- Paint seems to be thicker. (But too shiny.)
- The internal spring is a much longer and therefore stronger one. The fake baffle now is less likely to bounce inside the can.
- Quality is great.
- I had to put a small o-ring around my PTS Blackout flashhider to make the can seat better on it. Surprisingly my PTS can works much better with an Iron Airsoft Outbreak. The M4SDII seated and locked onto my Crusader Tech BCE 1.0 compensator like a dream, no tinkering was necessary. No wooble, no movement. I can only recommend that product.
Iron Airsoft Outbreak (with the previous light config):
(Posting pictures here is a real PITA.)

Electronic Fails - best game company ever.

Another "cheap" addition to the armory, eh?

I would not buy a TM G17. TM does not upgrade the model unfortunately. So it takes an awful lot of money to make it propane safe.
I hope there will be a new Glock model in the next years from them.

It is not about the valve. The APS magazines give space to the CO2 to expand. Like most GBBR magazines do, as well. WE and Stark do not. So they can not build up so big pressure like the APS which could even destroy the Airsoft Surgeon super hard nozzle in my TM Glock.
Before I got into my TM G17 project I had an SA G19 for a short time and I was not amazed at all.
There is a gen. 4 SA Glock on the coming soon list of WGC.

My goal is to have a TM based Glock 17 that runs on CO2. APS magazines are too strong for a G17. WE magazines have the most stupid outlet valve design the chinese ever made. Stark could be good, as the design is simple. Problem is the cheap materials and low quality manufacturing. And not full compatible with TM like the other two magazines, slide catch does not work properly.
-
Now that is a really good question.... From the mentioned 3, only the APS one works. I am thinking on buying an APS gun and build its internals into my TM G17.
-
Outlet valve leaks, can't help it with o ring replacement. Out of the box. The o-ring around the piercing valve literally blow off at the second time I inserted a CO2 cartridge.
There are more - of course unanswered - issues reported on the facebook page of Stark Arms regarding these magazines. And their guns, as well.
Their contact e-mail does not work (or exists ) so I contacted them via FB, I guess they will not even answer.

I had the bad luck to try out a CO2 magazine of Stark Arms. Stay away from it.

What are those things on your flashlights?

"Airsoft spec"? Eh? There's either Metric or Imperial threading. Most AR-15 AEG's are metric, with some notable exceptions (G&P being the most high profile).
Mod Edit: removed at poster's req
-
I am also surprised they made it airsoft spec. Sure, only means a problem if one wants to install real rails.
-
Thanks. I am sorry to hear that.
-
The receiver thread is RS or airsoft spec on the GHK?

Is that bipod any good? Considering one for an LMG build.

-
CWI airsoft has it.
-
Marvelous. VT SPR kit?
-
Thanks for the review, I am already saving up for the shorty one.
-
Why? You could have a proper AK instead of that.
-
The modular MI SS one is a winner with QD sockets. And I am not a big fan of the keymod phenomenon.

Midwest Indstries is the way to go, indeed. Thanks.
