  1. Can anybody confirm that there is any size difference between AK74UN and AK PMC gaspiston size? We found few fitting issues with the newest version of WE AK74UN and the WELL G74As havent this size issues - the gaspiston is to long to our conversion kit. I started to be affraid about WE changed the original design somewhere because we don't need to cut down/shorter the gas piston on G74As to let the bolt close properly. I have WE and WELL gas-piston in my hand, they are totally same size so I'm a bit confused...

I will be happy if I got any confirmation from you, with a picture with the two parts, I will be more happier. Thanks guys!

  2. Steel outer barrel: KYairsoft.com

The assembly is clearly the same with the CO2 version of G74A. The gun has the same internals and externals, the only difference is that which magazine seat in the box. For CO2 version we made a short-stroke kit because the rear trunnion often break after time. The short-stroke kit will fit into the recoil spring guide with a screw thread and you need to fit with the rear, plastic buffer to make the contact surface as big as it can be.

We also made a short video about how to modificate the trigger box.

Sorry for the flame, I will stop if it make you angry...

  3. I recorded my range - accuracy test with my PPS M870. I tested in on 5-10-15-20-25 meters range with 0.12-0.20-0.25-0.30 BBs. The results was really good despite the windy weather. :)

You can reach this video with english subtitle coming soon, I need 2-3 days to finish the translation.

  4. Yes, WELLs AKs have this plastic buffer. We made our own short-stroke kit which is really solid with this plastic buffer.

It is a rubber buffer, if you place the original buffer behind this one, it keep the rear trunnion from this big stress. On the photo, you can see the first proto, nowadays we made them from rubber.

  5. So, we used a DBoys/Kalash/Boyi AKs74u receiver to fit WELL AK's internals. The receiver is clearly compatible with the internals but the spring guide holder is totally different. You need to file the right cutting to let fit the spring guide. If the spring guide stuck or not move smoothly it will cause jams on the bolt carrier - can not move, stuck in a position. We didn't tested the fitting with the FCG parts yet. In the future, I can update this project if your are interested.

  6. Hey there,

I made my first video about a range-accuracy test with a PPS XM26 shell ejecting shotgun. I bought this shotgun a half-year ago but it was one of first time when I used it.

My experiences was that this shotgun isn't like the cold weather, that is why I didn't use it for a while. I recorded this test on 5-10-15-20 meters distance with 4 different BBs, like 0.12g - 0.20g - 0.25g - 0.30g BBs. The results was that you can hit the target on 5-10 meters all the time if you aimed to the target. On 15 meters I recommend heavier BBs, like 0.23-0.28g BBs because the wind can change the trajectory but in CQB I recommend 0.23g or 0.25g BBs. It is hard to hit the target over 20 meters which is acceptable for a shotgun. If the weather is good (temperature) you can hit the target by aiming above the target. The grouping is really closed thanks for the hidden inner barrel and for the fixed hopup system, there isn't any grouping under 8-11 meters.

Basically the XM26 shotgun is a really nice gun. The receiver and the bolt carrier is made from aluminium, the outer parts looks really nice. The stock is a copy of B5 crane stock with really nice surface/finish. I liked the gun except the compensator which was made from plastic, I will replace it with a steel version in the future - it will cost a lot to reproducing but I don't care. Sadly it is hard to use because it doesn't have any shell catcher - unlike the M870 has few solution.

The M870 isn't as well built shotgun as an APS CAM870. Lighter and it looks like a toygun - compared to APS. The receiver and all the external parts made from metal, more like aluminium. There is few parts which made from steel - ejecting plates, forend cradle bars, shell carrier, shell ejector, shell catcher, sear. The painting on the receiver isn't homogen but the other parts are really good.

At this moment I'm a bit busy but I like if you share your experiences with your PPS shotgun. I will record a video review in the future but at this moment I can not do it. :(

  7. I used to repaired both of them - G5 and SCAR-H. They are totally different but both of gun is good for DMR or for a standard carbine.

There was two big issue with the SCAR-H.

    - The biggest problem with the SCAR-H was the lower receiver-magazine fitting, the magazine had a lot wooble and that is why the nozzle oftne can not load the BBs - because the magazine has a tiny angle and the nozzle hit the BBs back to the magazine and not out from the feeding lip. I took some JB Weld to the lower and filled back/down to make the magazine contact perfect, this repair took 1-2 days.

    - The other, more flustrating issue, is the auto-sear bar holder. It is a strange issue because the SCAR-L has the totally same part (shinny zamak part which holded by a screw) but in the SCAR-Hs it will break after 1-2 mags on auto. To solve this issue, I redesigned this part to make it fit perfectly and possible to replace to a stronger part -  https://www.shapeways.com/product/XSM8J4TWJ/we-auto-sear-holder-v1-3?optionId=58880653.

    - I also replaced the hopup rubber and the inner barrel - A+ Rectifier + Modify TAN rubber -, and when I tested the gun, it shoot 550 FPS (from 510 FPS) and it was damn accurate on 50 meters. Sadly the new hopup system isn't TM-compatible so if you want to swap the hopup rubber, you need to buy a new barrel too. The new hopup system has different inner barrel with short-window.

    - Basically the SCAR-H handle the cooldown issues very well but it wasn't good on full auto, as the most of WE GBBRs - thanks for the delayed firing pin design. You can use it in cold weather too but the G5 is more and more better in cold weather - if it is a standpoint. The SCAR-H also has few available replacement parts by YSC, RA-Tech and other companies but I do not recommend to replace the inner part without malfunction or damage.

Yes, one day I will do more subtitles for my videos but it takes a lot time. Sadly, my videos are really long because I share really detailed informations - hopefully, I had a lot experiences with GBBs and GBBRs.

The GHK PDW has more stronger recoil as the G5, it is possible to using with CO2 too - it's a beast, really. I totally agreed with your experiences about recoil strong with the G5 - .22lr. At this moment I doesn't like the realfire arms, they are damn expensive in my country and airsoft is clearly good fun...

  8. The Gen2 lowers also can break, sadly. The original bolt has around 250g weight and the aluminium is around 100g, you can imagine the differences.

I also have reviews about aluminium bolts, check them. We tried a sightly cracked lower with alu bolt carrier, it will worked for a while. :)

Basically the alu bolts get better RoF, gas usage and the lower won't break anymore. It is a hard decision because you need to choose the recoil against the lifetime/fast-monster. :)

For example I replaced the bolt carrier in my GHK PDW because the lower receiver deformated. After 5 years of heavy usage the rear part of lower receiver (where the stock hinge is) bent. The is a 1-1.5mm gap between the lower-upper receiver which wasn't there when I got it. In good weather the G5 mags has high pressure in them that is why the bolt kick really hard - like a 9mm SMG.

  9. I recommend my new video for the newbies and for that persons who want to buy a GHK G5. I collected my experiences with the G5 which you need to know/do before you want to use it on the battlefield.

I talk about the issues and know fixes on the gun - lower receiver, FCG, BCG, hopup system, aluminium bolt carrier, magazine. The video is really long but I hope you will get a lot new informations.

  10. - cracked front sight block -

Today I checked this parts because I got a request from Cesare to send it to him. So, the pin is locked by a screw, take appart the front set, take out the screw and you can swap the compensator. The thread-adaptor is made from steel but it looks like glued on the front sight thread - if it has.

  11. Just got my g74u and got a bit confused. I don't really get how to remove the muzzledevice? I thought the little pin was springloaded but it just won't budge.

    c3c6a3778f11eec8e0c955551e84b848.jpg

Also thought of replacing the stock but the pin holding the stock cannot be knocked out and has no screw head

Be carefull, it isn't spring loaded as the WE, painted with the gasblock - and that is why it is often not able to take appart!

Update: I saw I'm in late. :( We have few stock gas block with flashhider on stock from our OTs-14 builds. I will ask my colleague about how much to send it to you.

Update2: About this stock pin, just punch it out. Sometimes it is really hard to get it out.

Update3: I can confirm, I have 1 piece and my colleague have 3 pieces on stock from OTs-14 conversion. ;) Send me a PM!

  12. Welcome, I will upload the photos too but at this moment I work really hard - 12-14 hours a day, I'm a bit busy at this moment.

Thanks for the suggestion but I already tried it. In my past I tried a lot hopup rubber in one race-pistol and with a WE G39c (Lonex, KM RH45, KM RH55, NineBall, MadBull, Modify, Marui, ML Diamond, RAT white, RAT old-red, RAT new-red, AIP, ML Autobot, KJ) I got the best performance with Modify. Sadly that time I didn't made any video about which how performed. At this moment I have the following preference: Modify, RH45, RH55, Marui. The ML Autobot rubber damaged after 100-120 shoots in my pistol.

  13. Last weekend I finally have some free time to check the part compatibility between WE and WELL AK. I ordered few steel parts to make a G74A rock solid. Here are the results, I will upload photos later. Here the part list:

    - WE AK47UN nozzle

    - WE trigger box (main box, without side plate)

    - WE steel valve-knocker delayer

    - WiiTech steel auto-sear

    - WiiTech steel valve knocker lever

    - WiiTech steel internal firing switch

    - Maple Leaf 470mm long inner barrel

    - Modify TAN hopup rubber

    - WE AK74UN nozzle

The sizes seems to be same. The used material is a bit different, WE used a shinny black plastic and WELL used matt finish, half gray-black plastic. The WE was perfectly drop-in fit without any modification. In my preferenc, I more liked the used o-ring on WELL because it will resist for CO2 gas more. I added a new nozzle spring which was made in a local workshop - reinforced and redesigned spring.

    - WE trigger box

The sizes is a bit different. As I saw and measured the WELL trigger box has wider walls, for example next to the hammer (which often break after time). The cutted windows are different on WELL because it has a bit bigger cuts. One important difference between WELL and WE which is a screw under the pistol grip - the WELL trigger box more solid, it haven't any free movement. The side plate was clearly same size but the valve delayer's cut is smaller on WELL.

    - WE steel valve-knocker delayer

It was really great part. Made from steel, has a good and smooth surface finish - chemical bluish with brown color. The machining is really clear and nice. Sadly it wasn't drop in fit to WELL but it was in WE. There is a side wing on the parts which seat on a spring. That wing was wider by 0.45mm, I needed to file it down to make it fit and move smoothly in its slug.

    - WiiTech auto-sear

The parts was machined from one solid steel block. The mashining and the surface finish was really nice, high quality. Painted to shinny black color. The auto-sear has a "tonque" on the left side (check WT's page) and that is why it can move really easier and smoothly in WE trigger box but it won't in WELL - because it has wider wall thickness. I needed to file down the left side of WT's auto-sear. The part has little contact surface with the hammer that is why it is more easy to disconnect from the hammer - good design, I liked it. For this price, it is worth of money with WT hammer I think, it is cheaper as WE or RAT.

    - WiiTech steel valve knocker lever

The parts was machined from one solid steel block. The mashining and the surface finish was really nice, high quality. Painted to shinny black color. It was drop-in fit to WE and WELL trigger box too. It won't never break appart and it is one of most cheaper parts as reinforcement (10$, compare it with WE or RAT which more expensive...).

    - WiiTech steel internal firing switch

The parts was machined from one solid steel block. The mashining and the surface finish was really nice, high quality. Painted to shinny black color. It was drop-in fit to WE and won't drop in fit to WELL trigger box. I needed to file down few 0.1mm with file, it took around 2-3 minutes with continous fitting test. The used tread was clear and nice - sadly I can not unscrew the WELL's screw because they used a lot screw-glue, need to drill a bit.

    - Maple Leaf 470mm long inner barrel & Modify TAN rubber.

Because we will convert this G74A to an OTs-14, we replaced the inner barrel and we placed a long inner barrel which we will cover by a silencer dummy. Hopefully the WELL G74A's has the old hopup system which is compatible with the Marui standard. I filed the inner barrel a bit to make the hopup rubber window more bigger. I replaced the stock small rubber nub and added a Modify TAN rubber which prevent the leaking and double-feeding issues.

At this moment we do the preparation with the CNC-workshop to make the OTs-14 conversion kits with the modern technologies and make the cost low and the quality better. At this time we're working on hard to finish the current order and make few modification on the design - for example, we solved the trigger bar connection between the front and rear trigger, added a rail to the carry handle, etc, etc. At this moment they sold to few places - like USA, Taiwan, France, Italy, Hungary, etc.

Here is a short video about how it looks like with all equipted accessories: https://www.facebook.com/gbbhungary/videos/786777238159833/
