  1. i just picked up an lm4 pts and they shoot 50fps hotter on average than the ptr. i have a cqb game coming up soon that i want to take this to, but i need to downgrade it. any quick advice on what i can do to drop the muzzle velocity? i have already cut the barrel down to 10 inches and tried pitting a shim in the nozzle, but the *badgeress* still shoots above 380 fps. i have no time to get a npas right now, but thats what im going to be doing later.

i have it kitted out, so after action reports and pics are coming soon.

Maybe try putting heat shrink over the rocket valve? This should work in a similar concept to the Dangerwerx valve.

  2. The valve knocker cracked on my G23 early on, and the trigger bar started bending, and the trigger pulls started to get sloppy. Maybe KJW quality went down in the past few years? But anyways, once properly fitted, having steel parts just gives peace of mind.

Make sure you get the upgraded frame when you upgrade the slide, haha. It's amazing how different a stock G23 feels from its fully upgraded counterpart.

  3. looks good, tdid that start life as a g19 or a g23?

Thanks. It started as a G23, but I pretty much replaced all the operating parts off the bat.

Also where did you buy the lower? I desperately need one :(

I got it from Airsoftglobal, but unfortunately they're out of stock now, like most HK retailers. Maybe try contacting Guarder directly through Intrudershop? I heard they take credit card orders.

  4. The older gen Glock baseplates for NFML mags fit my KSC and KJW mags perfectly, with just some filing to allow the follower to lock it in place.

The current gen Glock baseplates were also too wide for my mags, I had to use a soldering iron to reshape them to fit.

  5. how are the KJW G23's when it comes to reliablity and accuracy?

Mine worked fine until the valve knocker broke, this was close to 1000 rounds fired using propane, also including dry firing. Accuracy is decent since the hop up was a little consistent, but I replaced the rubber with a Nineball, and now it shoots pretty nice at 100 ft. The outer barrel requires occasional lubrication or else it will get jammed by the slide.

  6. *sigh* i'm pretty sure I posted in this thread before but can't find it. My KMP9's gas efficiency isn't working out to great, noticed during a game that my buddy would try to empty the mag on full auto(I told him 'Keep it on semi"), but it would run out of gas before it got to that point. Full magazine, filled properly, Mag isnt leaky, propane in 70F+ weather. What do you guys look for when solving gas efficiency problems? I believe the mag's seal is sitting properly against the cylinder. I have noticed that the gas release valve spits out gas along the seam of the "button" which the hammer hits, but have been told this is normal though. Any suggestions?

Does your KMP9 have the green piston seal or the orange?

Try shimming the gas route rubber on the mag with a piece of cardstock, that's what I did to mine to improve efficiency. Also make sure the valve knocker and valve knocker lock move smoothly.

My KMP9 has a recoil weight installed, and I'm able to get just about 1 mag on propane doing a full auto dump. I'm going to soak the release valve in silicone oil for a couple hours, and see if that improves efficiency.

  7. Thanks for the reply.

I asked because I had a WE M9 before, and the magazine had a similar output valve using the e-clip. The area around the e-clip became peened, causing the valve knocker to sometimes slip off it during double action, and also caused uneven wear on the valve knocker.

  8. Thanks for the advice. My gun is currently running fine on 1 nozzle spring, so when that fails, I'll get the Action set.

Also, my hammer broke today, at the right axle. Teaches me not to buy used guns off of Ebay..

To fix it without access to a machinist, you'll need:

    -5/32 roll pin

    -5/32 drill bit

    -Cordless drill(I used a 9.6V)

    -3/8OD (5/32 or greater)ID nylon bushing

    -Preferably a vise

These parts were all sourceable from a local hardware store.

You basically need to drill through the center of where the axle used to be with the 5/32 drill bit, the deeper the better. Then hammer in the 5/32 roll pin, and make sure it protrudes the same length as the broken axle did. Then slip on the hammer spring, then the nylon bushing(cut to size if needed), and reinstall. That's it. I shot a couple mags already with this mod, works the same as before the hammer broke. Hopefully it doesn't break again.

  9. I just got a KMP9R a couple of days ago, and I have to say I'm impressed. It's just as loud as my Viper M4 on CO2, and the ROF is quite high. I got it used off ebay with 2 mags. I found BBs would stack up in the barrel and roll out on full auto, and stretching the disconnector spring fixed that. The ball bearing was missing from the hop up, so I made a makeshift R-hop with a pen's rubber grip. The only thing I didn't like was the folding stock's wobble.

I originally bought this to convert a KSC TMP, but it will not work without a lot of modification. Basically, everything is switchable between the two except the hammer assemblies. I thought that the lower receiver was just hollow and everything was self contained in the hammer assembly housings, but it turns out that both lower receivers have specific protrusions to accommodate the different mechanisms. The KWA charging handle does not work well in the KSC. The triggers are swappable with some small modifications. The selector systems aren't compatible, the detent positions are molded into the receiver, the TMP has 3 and the MP9 has 2. The front sight posts are also swappable, with the MP9 one being a mm taller. The KSC TMP is made with shinier ABS compared to the KWA's FRP, but the KSC has better finished metal parts.

And here's a quick pic of my modernized SPP, hopefully that balances out my long rambling post.

  10. Does anyone know if its possible to transplant NS2 internals into the Hardkick models? I found a SPP and was hoping I could just keep the receiver and replace everything else.

EDIT: And is it also to convert the magazines to NS2 by transplanting parts?

  11. Mine arrived today. First impressions were not bad. It was solid, recoil spring was strong, and the slide cycles very crisply and smoothly. Slide has some rattle, but compared to other clone GBBs, its more noticeable, maybe clankier, due to the material of the slide. Trigger pull could be a little crisper. No half-cock? Slide was well oiled, but the lower was filled with grease. After cleaning and reoiling everything, fired a mag. Blowback is pretty strong for a stock pistol. Shots curve a little because the hop arm is bent to one side.

The stirrup needed some filing to fit the 5KU trigger I bought. And Tercel mags are not compatible, they are a couple of millimeters too short and don't lock in. Shame that they are a better design too, using a screw to mount the bottom seal instead of 2 pins like the Army.
