Yes I did, but I prefer how the gun operates it this configuration. Bolt cycles more smoothly and locks back every time than with just the stronger magazine spring alone,,,

Confirmed, Please refer to post #941 on page 48 of this thread and you'll see examples on both primary and reaction side of the gun. Both work as expected and have had zero issues due to the weapon be used as configured.

Working on that, data is being gathered now regarding the blown out lower, semi auto rapid fire / full auto fire. Being that is now winter cold weather data will be gathered in conjunction. Please be patient as the process happens, PS: Baggard You Killin Me Son!

Very Sorry For The Delay! I work for Intel Corp and needless to say it has been very busy. Just pulled off working 16 days straight and it doesn't help that they are 12 hour shifts! The KJW M4 - Book of Knowledge Maintenance Manual is forthcoming and thanks for being patient guys! Also I'm hoping Cradle Airsoft will host the PDF File on the website for easy accessibility. This will allow you to always know where to find it and where to look when you're needing quality after market parts for your KJW M4.

Luis, 6 magazines - Dirty 6 magazines - Dry 13 magazines - Lubed and finished for the day (It was easier to run dirty first, clean the BCG, run dry, then simply take out BCG - lube and install) It was during the next round of testing the lower was found to be blown out. Also this is the piston of choice I have been running exclusively since t_hum handed me the piston to T&E. Interesting note: FPS increased by 12 fps when ran dry. Hmmmmmmmm???
-
Guys, Real Quick: During the testing of the piston I ran it in a variety of conditions, lubed, dry, clean, dirty ( Arizona sand / silt ) and the o-ring held up nicely with No Drop in FPS. In short, if you use the piston you will not be disappointed,,,

t_hum, I need to see your lower receiver solution, then maybe I'd have 2 lowers to play with!

Quick Update: First of all Apologies for not getting back, work has been crazy and I have not been able to get any free time! I did receive a response from KJW and there is an additional $23 charge for the parts needed. Which will hopefully arrive sometime next week and I will get the gun up and running to verify all is well and good! Also Real Quick! I Will Be Purchasing Another Brand New KJW M4 that I promise to honor and respect. After being let down by the "Other" GBBR platforms I had to be sure this is the GBBR system was what would fit the bill moving forward

KJ Works Response: Hey You Big Stud You, That's look like was broken. You need to buy a new lower receiver(part no.37) It's cost $45.00 USD. Shipping fee is $5.00 USD. You can use paypal too. Thanks! Clare Actually I'm Not Too Upset As It Is A Well Documented Fact I've Beat This Gun Like A Rented Mule! All things considered $45 for a stripped lower is a decent price! I'm responding back asking for the additional parts that broke as well and get this piece back up and running!

Range Report Sunday, November 8th, 2009 12:00 Hrs 29C !!Catastrophic Failure!! Fired 6 Magazines through the gun and noted sluggish operation / movement of the bolt carrier group. On last magazine fired noted bolt carrier group did not fully seat forward! NOTE: In 10,642 BBs fired the Bolt Carrier Group Has NEVER Failed To Seat - Ever. Inspection: Upon breaking open the upper receiver the buffer (part # 53) shot out from the buffer tube! Buffer spring (part # 74) was fully extended forward reaching onto the top of the magazine. Found the broken remna

Yes there is, It is a MOE Grip and Ehobby sells it -- http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/magpul-pts-moe-...ries-black.html Be advised though, the KJW cap screw that fastens the grip down is larger and you will not be able to use the cap screw that comes with the PTS grip.

Wotty33, Not possible to use the standard receiver plate on the KJW M4 as it is a different design entirely. If you want a single point of attachment you'll need to go with a mount that will 'Clamp' around the buffer tube. Kai Wolf is using one, you might PM him and ask him how he likes the set up,,,

Snoop Dogg!! Bro, I've used "Echo 1" .25g BBs on Coleman Propane for the entire duration of the testing on the KJW M4! The gun is designed / rated to be used on .25g hard beans and to be honest I just Never even thought about using anything else as I went out and bought several bags of the .25g BBs! I preferred to use .28g beans on my AEG as those slung through the air for me the best. Glad to know you have gone through the trouble of using .28g BBs as I'll think I'll switch back to that weight. We'll see if the hooking effect stops at the weight. Seriously Guys

!!Magazine Issues!! Be Advised There MAY Be Some Magazines Out there That Do NOT Have The Appropriate Spring Installed! If you purchased / received a serialized gun and Asked for Warranty Parts Along with the New Metal Buffer, New Buffer Spring, You SHOULD Have Also Received Part # M14 Replacement Magazine Feed Spring. This Is The Stronger Spring For Better Feeding But MOSTLY to Positively Actuate The Bolt Lock After Last BB Fired. One Main Characteristic of the "Weaker" Magazine Feed Spring is BB Failing To Feed Up To / Through The Magazine Feed Lip - AGAIN - BBs Are

Gentlemen, Be advised I have begun reliability testing of the piston design and will be beating the hellz out of the gun yet again. I will report back on performance as I usually do and will install and be using the new piston exclusively from this point forward. I am very happy about how well the velocity reducer performed! As t_hum stated the reducer in its current form is done and ready to go. However there are some fine tuning adjustments that can be quickly added to account for the change in temperature and yet still keep you with in field FPS regs. Check the thread tomo

I know I'm sounding like the Cheerleader Champion for the KJW M4 but the gun seems like it was made to run through the Magpul course. Snoopy! There is a slight larger tapered chamber in the upper portion of the magazine, the dispensing valve is located in the very center of the magazine and is 1 inch below the rubber seal which mates to the BCG. As stated earlier there is never any liquid propane that is deposited onto the BCG or hop up chamber affecting accuracy. Again, when the gun is fired inverted gas consumption is higher, slight mist coming off the ejection cover port but

The only affect on accuracy after about 40 yards is the BB will drop, compensate by muzzle angle and is nothing new in airball. Not a sharp drop but it does. Shooting inverted surprisingly it shoots identical to normal orientation EXCEPT right at the end of about travel (on my rifle anyway) it will veer hard left at about the 60 yard mark and beyond, not always but it does. I have almost always gone improvised urban in CQB distances, anything further than that I prefer to stay on my feet to move and react quickly to what is happening down range,,,

Waffles Will Fit This Particular Pouch No Problem,,,

The B.A.D. was purchased from AIMSurplus and cost me $28 USD Shipped, bolted directly onto the KJW M4 bolt release lever with NO Modifications Needed! Works as advertised and looks damn sexxxy on the gun,,,

elrey, The 'Original' production run of guns are 'Serialized' on the reaction side of the lower receiver from KJ00001 to KJ00250 and did Not have the updated Buffer, Buffer Spring and Magazine Spring equipped on the gun. If a gun was purchased that had the serial # on the gun then a quick email to KJW with a picture of you serial # on the gun would have gotten you the correct updated parts. Gun With NO Serial Numbers Are Already Updated and Good To Go! I must also state that my rifle is also equipped with the Magpul B.A.D. and has no effect on the gun what so ever! Well,,,if y

Gun shot like a champ last night, put another 18 magazines through the gun and zero issues. The updated springs in the magazines actuated the bolt stop every time, worked so cleanly that t_hum had to double check a few times to verify the bolt locked back. He was so focussed on maintaining his 1 second cadence he didn't know the bolt locked back. It was funny actually. Rapid fire full auto testing and single fire as fast as you can shoot testing didn't cause the magazine temps to drop and all in all were consistent. In all of this I need to mention the stock hop up and inner b
