  1. What cest rigs are taboo for PJs? I've seen some MAVs of both types and some TAG rigs. I going PJ (again) but with a chest rig instead of a 6094, because Florida is too hot.

RRVs, MAVs, TAG rigs, 1961s (As, ARs/Gs), and probably some Tyr rigs since AFSOC (including multiple PJ units) have a big contract with them right now.

More guys are going to be carrying their stuff directly on plate carriers, but those chest rigs are going to most likely be used if someone is going to be using a chest rig.

  2. Not of me, but a couple teammates at a 24 hour OP we went to last weekend. We didn't have any VS-17 panels and had to mark our position for friendly CAS, so we used a US flag instead. Also coincidentally since we were under the approach for McChord AFB, a C-17 decided to fly over the field as we were "calling" in CAS. Too bad it was an F15 or something, but that's what we get for being by an AMC base.

  3. According to SKD, they're the only place that you can buy PIG.  I've certainly not seen any stock in Europe or even elsewhere in the US, so you may be kinda stuck there.

If you know someone in the US, it'll cheaper to have it shipped to them and then shipped on to you.  Don't ask me why shipping something twice is cheaper, but it works out somehow.

IIRC, PIG stuff is custom made by Eagle (or one of the other big manufacturers) for SKD.

  4. Jpc looks nice. But at some point somebody has to explain to me the point of going total multicam to be optimally camoflaged and then negating that effect be putting a full color flag on the chest 8-o

IFF purposes. From what I gather from real door kickers I know, they're mostly used during raids and the like, where camo doesn't matter so much as making sure you don't get shot by your own guys.

  5. Great review! And to second what he said about calling LBT, don't worry. I've had a lot of dealings with them and they're great people.

One question, how does it sit when worn over an armor carrier? My old A-R would kind of tilt forward (so the top was farther from my body than the bottom of the pouches), and that bugged the hell out of me.
