ICS rail? Did your rifle come with one then? Never seen that as an after market part.
Shh.. that sounds like common sense. The angry mob hear you say that and they'll drag you away and beat you to death with a wooden AKM stock.
I may have gotten the wrong end of the stick but I think you're talking about one of these things? http://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/ics-l85l86-m1913-tactical-rail
For some reason ICS include one with their L86 but you have to buy it separately for the L85. Does the job though.

The sling goes to your optics rail then? Fair enough, "if it works". Probably a slightly better position than the integrated rear sling mount.
Props for doing something other than standard issue to your rail. Where'd you pick up your ELCAN? I've got the fixed 4x which is excellent but I'd like the switchable version.
Guessing you did a straight swap out of your dovetail rail for the picatinny there?
Yeah it falls in quite a nice position then:
Think I grabbed it from RSOV, the quick mount cogs were kind of misshapen though and required a bit of filing to get on properly. Optics are great quality though and the crosshair is nice and crisp. First sight Im worried about getting shot.
Yeah just popped the ICS rail on.
Dont care about it being Gucci, its Magpul cause it works.

I'm not seeing things am I, that is an RSA behind your optic?
Yeah it is, I have an L85 sling but just didnt get on with it. I run a single point to carry it on out of games.

That looks great. Pity about the red wires, though.
Yeah they annoy me too.
I need to rewire it anyway to get my batteries in the rail so will be replacing it will all black or at least covering it up.

The ICS barrel is indeed not threaded.
Thats weird, mine is.
Love the 1-4x spectre, considering getting more for other rifles.

Finally got the second hand VFC I bought sorted out - was more of a ball ache than I had anticipated.
Sweet gun to use now though.

Im digging the T1 actually. May have to try mine with a T1 instead of Eotech.

4 Orders placed with them in the past year. Only complaint is one item arrived damaged - they are replacing it without any fuss.
Definitely recommend.

Cheers guys, its a real beast to play with

Got some pics of my EBR:
Gonna paint it soon enough

My G&G EBR arrived today, very nice rifle
Its shooting well over limits though, so will need some internal attention before I can get it on the field.

Hmm not sure how well that would work on my rifle because of the KA rail I've got. May try bodging one together using some spare slings lol.
Ordered a cheek riser, promy TB, hop and H nub and a scope for my M14.

Yeah the site is really very one sided, and the marshals didnt help matters at all. I saw at least 6 occasions of definite cheating on the saturday alone too which got me wound up.
Thats fair enough, woulda probably just been a "hey, you enjoyin it?" kinda deal - my social skills dont go much further
-
What slings do you guys find work best? My straight forward two point thing is impossible to use with a mag in and uncomfortable without a mag in.

Taking cover in a brief engagement at Catterick yesterday.
Wish I'da known u were there - would have found u for a chat.
Nice kit, shame the event was balls

Felt the need to get more multicam so got this together:
Ready for Catterick

Cheers buddy. Was planning to add some faded hatching on it but I'll leave it as is atm - fits in well at my local site.

I put a Promy Hop and Tight bore in my L86 and the range is radiculous. Need to measure it some time, get some numbers to back up my claims lol.
