  1. Haha I hear ya! Was hoping for a video, I learnt a bit off YouTube for the easier stuff like changing hops and barrels - but when it comes to stuff that needs chopping, it's always best to watch someone do it first! :D Learning with the eyes and all that... not to mention the take down, very clueless there! :)

could you share links for the "how to's."

I've only seen video reviews. I had to assemble mine when I first got it but am dredding when I get a new pump handle or god forbid any internal servicing haha

  2. Did you have to modify it? I only ask as I just saw they have TM compatible torch pumps in the works! Delish!

Want mine to look (almost like yours) -

    Awwwwwwwwe Yeah!

Am I blind or was there no release date info? I've got months till I can use my shotty again, but I'm gettting antsy in the pantsy for this handle.

  3. This would be the perfect justification for a buffer-tube style collapsible stock with a cylindrical gas tank!!! But a bummer for needing to use the oddly shaped tank for the full stock. Where can we get some of that magic metal Wolverine is made from, that ought to hold up.

I was in paintball for a number of years and have seen burst disks, carbon fiber compressed air tanks, and steel braid hoses all blow up. The fact that these tanks aren't holding up well to even a bit of over pressure or heat is way more than disconcerting. Plus the girlfriend will never let me live it down if the tank explodes and totally ruins my security deposit.

  4. I've left my tank filled for about a week and its definitely flexing/expanding the same. The body pins are recessed, no longer flush with the body. Guess its time to contact Tokyo Model Company and see if Marui will do something about it. I've only used the gun once so I' pretty bummed about this. Hope everyone else has luck in getting a new tank, pretty lame that I'd have to by another tank for a brand new gun

  5. Didn't see a review for this shop, also wanted to bring up an issue.

I've had a pretty great relationship with Tokyo Model Company as a customer for almost 4 years. They communicate well with me, do a great job with communication, and this past year have gone an extra step and provide photos of all items being packed into my order so I know everything is there.

Up to recently I've had an outstanding time ordering from them and wouldn't hesitate.

My apologies if this next part isn't appropriate for this forum section, I wasn't sure where to put it.

Recently I've had a big issue. I preordered the Marui 870 shotgun. Once it arrived they spent a week laboriously disassembling a brand new gun for me. Tons of communication, great step by step updates. The gun was to be disassembled and shipped in two separate boxes because of the import laws of where I live.

They sent the first box, not sending me tracking information until it had already cleared customs 2 days after they shipped it, not normal for them. I sent an email back telling them I received the package and asking when they would ship package number 2. I get a reply saying thank you for being a customer and to tell my friends and thats it.

4 days later they've ignored a daily polite email inquiry about my order status. Today I set up a new email account and asked a question. They promptly replied. So clearly they are ignoring me.

Could anyone suggest a course of action? file a paypal grievance? call them if I can find a phone number? Consider selling off the parts that I have?

I'm sitting here with half a Marui 870 sadly.

  6. Initial impressions of takedown-  *fruitcage* *suitcase* wank *badger*s *Ubar* ... TM really didn't want this taken apart!

G&P torch grips do NOT work.  If those are real spec (As I think they are), then real pumps won't work- they're far too thick to go around the shell tube on the Marui. The G&P is about 5mm+ too thick at the sides.

Man are you right. Tokyo Model has been trying to figure out how to take mine apart so they can ship it to me but they're worried about damaging it. They've removed the stock, trigger assembly, and receiver, but the outer barrel doesn't want to come off and there are no visible external screws apparently.  Bummer, but they're working their butts off to get it figured out. One thing they definitely confirmed is that Marui don't want no one to take it apart, or at least without a lot of effort. Apparently even the pump handle and pump arms can't come off without removing the outer barrel. Someone with the shotty in their hands please confirm/disprove this for me. Need any intel to help get this in my hands.

FYI, without saying too much, Korea customs will not allow importing of assembled guns sadly.

  7. Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm still having ridiculous cool down issues with my mags. I started with a brand new can of Guarder green gas, my gun has a simple upgrade of a Firefly hop up bucking and PDI barrel. Temperature was in the 30 degree centigrade range with bad humidity. I tried a full auto mag dump and was able to get all the rounds off but the last 10-15 rounds were no where near 300fps. Played games shooting just semi, decent rate of fire, maybe a 1-1.5 RPS when I needed to. Shooting semi I would get cool down also, couldn't even get through entire mags sometimes. I had the same issue with all six of my mags, some I could barely get of every round, others froze up all over the place

Hoarding AEG's this is my first GBB bigger than a 1911. So, any advice would be greatly appreciated. New valve? Just suck it up and deal with a lot of pistol transitions? (that part was actually a ton of fun) Humidity play a factor?

I had an insanely good time with the gun when it wasn't on ice. Makes me want to begin a GBB rifle collection! Fantastic gun, except for my seemingly isolated issues

  8. Thanks for the input. I definitely need to do more testing with new cans of gas. My hfc134 is new though and has super cooled my mag. Months ago when I first got the gun green gas was dumping full mags no problem.

Has anyone tried the Angrygun power up suppressor? Curious as to whether its going to be worth it.

And lastly, the o-ring in the photo. Disassembled to install a new hop rubber and barrel. Couldn't figure out where this oring goes. Any help? Instruction manual wasn't as useful this time. Thanks!

  9. I decided to man up after writing the post and took the thing apart. I can't delete my old post unfortunately, tried a bunch of times but the forum wouldn't let me.

I did have one odd experience. After taking everything apart slowly and carefully out of nowhere a small red o-ring came out of nowhere. It's slight wider than the diameter of the inner barrel. Anyone have an idea where it goes?

Oh, rapid mag cool down. Anyone else have that issue? I've tried Green, propane, and HFC 134 and all produce major cooldown. I'm lucky if I can dump a full mag in full auto, Rapid fire semi causes the same problem.

  10. Does anyone have any information where a step by step disassembly guide might be? I've been searching online but not much help. Call me scared to crack everything open sadly.

My issue is replacing the hop-up bucking and barrel. I'm not exactly sure how to extract them and I don't exactly have the greatest of luck when experimenting. Any help would be greatly appreciated

  11. Hey, sorry to be lazy. Just so many pages to search through. Motor is dying on my Recce, could someone confirm for me whether I can use a standard long motor or aside from ordering from Echigoya(who won't even ship to me in Korea) what might other options be? I was just thinking about getting another Marui EG1000

  12. Got my Madbull PWS RIS extension. Sadly, the adapter has its differences. Main issues being that the screw holes aren't threaded and possibly may be too big to be threaded or even accept a thread insert. The bottom rail will not fit because the adapter is too wide to fit the channel so it needs to be filed, not a big deal. Sides need to have shims or wedges put in because they're small. Potential is fantastic, and the basic fitting isn't a horrible problem, but the threading of the screw holes will be the problem.

Hope what I said made sense. Here are some quick photos

Lets just hope madbull makes a Marui adapter

  13. Does anyone have any experience removing power brakes from the loading nozzle?

Picked up a new CQB-R in Korea, but the government requires power brakes giving me a wonderful fps of 120fps! Woohoo!!!

Anyway, my mechanic is about an hour away and I don't have anytime to get up there for a while. I know this is a rare thing but if anyone has suggestions/experience it would be greatly appreciated
