Looks like a huge improvement on the original.

 

Massive improvement,  Genuine Multicam webbing,  Straight stitching, Better shaped plate bags.  The only thing I dont like is the standard shoulder cover socks that come on it are Coyote Brown.  I cut those off and threw on some Crye sholder pads.

Real nice; last you a lifetime that will, you can tell its very hi grade kit just by looking at it. Imo i love the sopmod kit though as its based around the humble m4-so you can just pick up a piece at a time untill you have the entire "block". They use daniel defence rails i think? Or that could be KAC - i can only use ICS brand stuff as its designed to only accept that. Crafty move, cause they can charge a fortune for parts-I mean a qd suppresor was almost fifty quid, and their S.I.R is approaching £200.

 

I use mine in m4a1 config but i am building the sopmod kit. Eventually its gonna be an entire modular weapon system, with drop in components to make a pistol, pdw, sopmod carbine, rifle, DMR, all in a suitcase.

 

ICS can use any TM compatiable rail system, as long as you change the barrel nut to a G&P one.  Below is my old ICS m4 (top in picture).  Same goes for suppressors or flash hiders as long as they are the correct threading (CCW/CW).  There is a lot of myths surrounding ICS M4's and most of them just arent true.  The only thing you cant change on them is the receiver due to the split gearbox design.

How do you manage to sling your weapon and draw a sidearm wearing something like that? For example do you move your primary to your off hand hip and draw your pistol or is it same side? Is up and over your shoulder an option? If so main or off hand side?

 

Simple,  I use a Crye Gunclip on my belt.  Primary hangs to front or off hand side, or if its not on a sling, its leaning against a wall.

First Factory/Laylax did a 10.5", exact same shape as the TM one just nicer materials.  Not seen any others around myself.

Ordered a set of FFI Aor1 cammies on the 15th of this month, Got an email from them a day later saying they were out of stock. I would have thought they would have refunded me but they decided not to bother and keep my money. I asked for the refund in 2 emails and got a reply "will refund you today (17th)" and since then nothing. Opened a paypal dispute and they havnt bothered replying to it either. Looks like they just dont give a *suitcase*. I escalated to a claim today and paypal has givin them another 10 days to respond (10 days WTF?)

Overall terriable shop, and to top it off, You can still order and pay for the item in question on their site thats out of stock (FFI AOR1 Gen 2 set medium).

Oh really did not know that they came from the same factory! Also quite interesting that the webbing is different, not sure which I prefer on that, I wonder why they didn't make it Multicam on the Flyye too.. 

 

They have a version with multicam webbing, bit more expensive though.

[MODI JPC Overview]

Difference between Flyye and MODI JPC

 

The main difference is the fact that the Modi is made by 500D Nylon and the Flyye is made by 1000D cordura. The Modi is still a very well built vest as far as the stitching and quality as it is made by Flyye. Another main difference is the webbing. The Modi uses fake multicam while the Flyye uses CB webbing.
