  1. I use quite a simple charger that switches to trickle charge. Was less than £15, and my batteries don't even seem to get warm when charging left on overnight even.
  2. Ah okay, well something with a little more room in then...still its possible to use any m4 stock on the stock tube? Just need to get away from that cheap plastic and wobble of the TM crane stock.
  3. Since we're on the subject; is anyone able to tell me if I can simply use any M4 stock on my sopmod? Ignoring the battery for a second, since I would rewire that. I hate the cheap feeling plastic used on the standard TM crane stock (is the voltor any better?), and was looking at maybe going for a Magpul PTS ACS BUTT stock, and wiring a deans connector inside for the battery. Thanks.
  4. Thanks guys. I'll be upgrading the gears at some point anyway. I perhaps was being too quick with the trigger. Odd that my sopmod doesn't do the same though.
  5. Just came back from my first skirmish using the scar-l, and one thing I noticed is a few lock ups. Every now and then the gun would stop shooting (no the mag wasn't empty). I'd have to switch to full auto to clear it, then it would be fine again. It's brand new out the box, using all new mags. Any ideas? Oh and for interested people, with no mods it was firing 320 FPS with 0.2's.
  6. Well I finally jumped on the TM EBB band wagon, and love the rifles! I'm yet to skirmish with them, but my test shoots have made me smile...trouble is, I couldn't just stop with the Sopmod... Just on a quickie for anyone that may have looked at this; is there an upgraded/replacement stock for the Sopmod? The gun feels so great and well built, right up until the cheap feeling stock. I even considered a front wire, but i'm sure I couldn't get a battery under that RIS (and I hate battery boxes!)
  7. Well if your ever around the midlands First & Only sites send me a message Also noticed that the upper on the tan looks a different colour to the rest of it under direct light.. and i'm just picky!
  8. Yeah, I usually don't like guns in Tan/Dark Earth. Mainly because it doesn't match my DPM or black loadouts (and I never play in the desert?). The TM Scar is the first gun I've really liked in tan, I was so close to ordering it that colour. Then I just thought, I'm more likely to regret it in tan, I know I like my black guns, and it'll match any loadout I use. And no I don't see the appeal of the Scar-H to be honest. Slightly bigger, with different shape mags..so? With the L is big enough for long range, but not so big you can't use it in CQB, and most importantly, I prefer M4 mags and thi
  9. Just went mad with the TM recoil series. Who needs a PTW with these 2 beauties! TM Sopmod and TM Scar-L. Both feel very well built, lots of metal except for the lower receiver on the Scar and both of the stock pieces. Just need to find a smaller battery now, since my 9.6v 1600mah Ni-Mah mini won't fit in the Scar stock!
  10. Does that include the SOPMOD Hicaps? Since they don't have the bolt stop action... Would be nice to share some mags between guns!
  11. Had a quick look for the answer to this, but couldn't find it. Blind? All I want to know is, will the TM Sopmod mags (both 84 and 430 round) work in other AEG M4 style rifles? Specifically my Magpul PTS Masada ACR?
  12. Yeah? My thinking is that, if I get it done straight away (I have an engineer at my local site that will do the work), I shouldn't have to worry about opening it up again, just the occasional clean.. Plus I've read some stories of the TM gears not being so durable/piston wear etc, that I'd rather not worry about. Or is that mostly long term use? (This is intended to be my main rifle, I play various sites 2-3 times a month)
  13. Hey all, Well I've joined the club and ordered a TM SOPMOD. Although everywhere was out of stock, so its coming from Japan! (Damn 2 week wait!) I've read a ton of info about the gun, and just wanted to get some user opinions quickly. Basically, as a new rifle, I'd like to spend some extra on it, and get that bit of extra performance out of it. But my questions basically come down to, do I actually need these upgrades? Or should a simple spring upgrade be fine out of the box? Can I get the performance/build quality as good as a PTW? So far my shopping list includes: Eagle6 M100 S
