Heh, seems there's always exceptions. And yes, if you can get hold of a fancy flash, be my guest. I was referring to the built-in flash on regular consumer-level cameras, which was also what Static meant in his post, I believe.
As for photoshops, it can certainly enhance a good picture, but it can't save a bad one. If one thinks that he'd always be able to photoshop whatever photos he takes, and becomes careless with the basic settings of light and focus and so on when taking the photos, he's not going to achieve greatness. (If one's really good, he can even generate a picture in computer without using cameras, but that's a different kind of skill and art.) The priority should be first photo taking skills, then photoshop skills. Start using photoshop only after you have mastered photo taking skills.

I don't believe in photoshop, and I don't do anything besides resize my photos when they are too big for posting online and cut out extra parts when necessary.
But yea, I forgot to emphasize: NO FLASH.

0. Have the will to take good photos.
1. Get a decent camera (not necessarily a $1000 one, but at least one with good lens and some manual control settings)
2. Light is the key. Try to have as much light source as possible. Sun light usually works well with most auto settings on most cameras. When use flourescent lights, try to set your camera's setting accordingly.
3. If you must take photos under insufficient light (and that doesn't even mean darkness, a lot of what you may consider "well-lit" rooms are not really good enough for cameras.) Use a tripod or some stationary supporting thing. Adjust your shutter speed and aperture accordingly and use the timer or a remote on the camera to trigger the shutter.
4. Choose your angles. Just look at what others have done, and pay attention to what you like and not.
5. Always take multiples of the same scene if you are using digital camera, and pick the best (or apply more sophisticated image processing techniques).

I wasn't paying attention - is that a Tanaka M65/M13 FBI special, or do my eyes deceive me?
Your eyes deceived you. It is the M60 Chief's Special, but if you were refering to Redhawk's picture, then yes, that's an M65. Review has finally been uploaded, and here are some comparison shots as promised.

The DA pull is heavier than most semi-autos, but it's so smooooooth. And a world ahead of KWC revolvers. Oh, and Shao? Be a good chap and put some green in the damn thing, will you?
Yes, sir. And I have .25g, but no heavier. Yep, although the DA pull is quite heavy, but it is silky smooth.

Looking forward to your review Shao. Do you have a picture showing size comparison to say... your KJW M1911?
Ah, I don't have it yet, but I will certainly take some comparison pictures, and write up the full review in the next few days.
For now, the initial impression:
the finish is excellent.
the power seems to be low on the springer level (with 134a).
range is 15 feet (20 max again with 134a, and after 20 feet, the .2g BB will curve left and right).
Weight is documented at a miserable 350g, lower than a $20 heavy weight springer, but I guarantee you that the feel and built is miles and miles ahead of any springer there is.
cylinder holds 10 (the real steel is a five shooter, not six, and that's how small this thing is. ), 5 in the five holes in the front of the cylinder, and one can push 5 more into a hidden compartment in the cylinder (unlike the SAA), and there's a spring loaded follower in the hidden compartment that loads the BBs automatically, but unfortunately, that spring has seemed to be dislocated in mine after 5 minutes messing with it, and I have not dissembled the cylinder to try to set it right yet (not even sure if I want to bother with that).
The gun is rock solid, and no, and I repeat no, rattle anywhere at all (no clicking noise in the cylinder as in my SAA, but it hasn't been abused much).
DA trigger pull is heavier than any of my semi-autos, but SA pull is extremely short (see pic below), but will not mis-fire easily.

Very beautiful, indeed. Even the wood looks ok. That one just made it to my wish list.
As long as you don't expect much power or range. The fake wood does indeed look pretty real. And the stainless finish is just beautiful. I have real trouble convincing myself that the gun is made of plastic.

Shouldn't it be vertical when the barrel of the gun is level? Right now, the medallion is vertical, but the grip is at an angle. If I make the "S" point toward the base of the grip, the medallion will be slanted.
-
Oh, wait. Your medallions are slightly off. Try rotating them so that the bottom of the "S" is pointing at the base of the grip.
what's the proper angle? Do you have a picture? S&W don't make this kind of grip anymore, and I have no reference (all the places showing the medallions on the box AND manual were cut out).
-
Sorry to hear that. Luckily, mine are OK, there's no glue or anything, but still pretty tight, and I had punch them from the inside. I don't know why this did occur to me earlier that they were flipped. Man, I feel dumb now.
-
Nice. For god's sake flip those S&W medallions over! BTW, how's the power and accuracy? :P
Those can be flipped over?!#$ I thought WGC permanently erased them. *goes to try*
Power and accuracy? Haha, details in review are coming when I have sometime.

Y'all may call me chief now.

If I was to say "God, my MP5 was a *badgeress* to strip down", would I be penalised for being derogatory towards female dogs?
No, of course you wouldn't be penalized for being derogatory towards female dogs. You'd be penalized for saying the lord's name in vain.
But seriously, if you don't like to get neg points for saying the word "gay", just don't say it anymore. And it's fair game for others to neg rep you for any other curse word you say that's not catched by the word filter.

But your way might introduce too many pinned threads on top of the tech section, and make people hard to browse other tech info.
Or, we can combine both our ways: make a sub-section for take down guides, and pin the good ones on top of the sub-section.
-
Or, we can just have a sub-section in the Tech section for take down guides.
-
You could also email Arnie or R22 to add it in the Article Section.
-
Why not just write your guide, and post in the tech forum? If it's good enough, it'll probably get pinned.
Maybe he's worried about the "if" part.
-
How many stand alone take down guides have people written here? There's simply not enough demand to make a special section for it. Most people who write reviews would also include a brief take down procedure in the review.
-
How about we worry about that problem when we have 300 reviews for the G36c in the database?
If each section in a review is clearly labeled, it wouldn't be so hard to find the take down section if there's one, is it? Furthermore, there's a search button for the review database as well.
-
Here's a better idea: why don't the authors just include a section in each gun review on how to take down/field strip the gun if they could?
-
cheers for the info guys! Does that kjworks glock 32c take KSC/KWA glock mags?
nope.

I'd just like to add that if anyone finds his/her signature is missing, then it's because it was breaking the sig rules, and he/she should not try to restore the old sig, nor should he/she try to complain to any mod.
You will face serious consequences if you repeatedly violate the signature rule (or just being bitchy about your sigs).

Also, I would say that for skirmishings, I will think twice about using the CA M15A4 CQB for the following reasons:
• too expensive
• too heavy
• metal too soft.
Its weight will make it easy to damage as the weapon weight itself would magnify any bumps or drops.
Wait till you buy a CA M249.
