Completely redone with Airsoft Surgeon and Shooter's Design parts.
Christ, I wish I had a better camera.
Oh, and a holster to skirmish this, I don't see me taking a C.R. Speed or another IPSC holster out into most scrims.

Sorry for the necro-post, but I just recieved mine today as well, and I must say it is pretty good for a MPEG.
One question, how do I take off the horrific orange tip?
Is yours painted on, or plastic?
Here's mine recently, I threw an RDS on and it's worlds ahead of the cruddy iron sights, despite being fairly ugly.
Range is stunning for such a small weapon, a local gun doc is kindly tossing in a bunch of upgrades tonight.

Technically it's a 'boot knife', I bought it at a military/law enforcement only sort of dealie, luckily enough I'm military so I got it at a fairly decent price.
It's a Benchmade CBK with coated grip.

Yeah, it's a Cougar, with a fire selector (full auto and semi).
Damn fine pistol, if I say so myself. Swapped out some parts with one of my Cougar Inox pistols.

There are many technical posts in this thread, it's true. Doesn't mean they belong here. Regardless of the spam issue, however, I was pointing out a resource for you to consult to get the information you were asking for.
Given that I went to the time and effort of setting up a thread which is likely to contain the answers you're looking for, it would be great to see more people actually using it.
Might see if I can get a friendly Mod to make it sticky or something, so it doesn't keep getting lost in the Technical Discussion section.

I suggest you look in the Steyr AUG FAQ and Helpdesk thread. That's what it's there for. This thread is for pictures.
Looking there. It still doesn't hurt to ask, especially as the search feature seems to hate my computer- and even so, I can't search for anything with 3 letters or less ("AUG", STEYR brought up a hilarious amount of stuff).
Either way, I'll balance it out with pictures. There seems to be a lot of technical questions in this thread, I truly don't see what's wrong with one.
Project AUG as of 10 minutes ago- there's a short barrel with an Armalite flash hider, with a Gemtech HALO over it (covering a stock-length tightbore).
Any chance you're selling that AUG civvie receiver anytime soon, Hedganian?
I just took a piece off my AUG that you've been looking for for a long time, and am debating selling it- you should be able to tell what by looking at the picture above. You're first in line in case I decide to.

Urgh. I love my AUG, but my misfeeding's been getting worse and worse- especially when I swapped barrels to CQB. Just ordered a G&P metal Hopup and an 'Iph San' (spelling?) metal feed nozzle.
Any other suggestions?

If there were shorty and/or long AUG mags on the market, I'd snap them up in heartbeat- same with the Nitro siderail if it was half the price.

Hmm- my KSC Beretta Elite IA M9 has a broken trigger spring (I got it in a sale off ASC, not sure about the condition, but was told that just the spring was broken)- yet firing with a broken trigger spring leads all the gas to vent. Is this normal? I know it isn't for the HFC/TM, I've done it before with those.
I've got a spring on the way, though.

Anyways, metal slide installed- I still need a threaded barrel and an upgraded recoil spring (no idea what to do about that).

buy the threaded barrel for the g19 , drop in fit and looks very cool
i did "mod" a g34 outer and inner barrel to fit but only for a laugh ! looked very odd especially with 49 round mag...

That link doesn't work, but I suspect you mean this, which isn't a short barrel.
That isn't a Para barrel. This is the Para/Commando barrel.
Check the links in this thread for what the short-barrelled AUGs are supposed to look like.
You're going to use a 360fps weapon in CQB?? I'm glad I won't be playing at the same sites as you.
Ah, forgot to mention I have an SP90 spring coming along, and a stock TM one. Even so, our CQB sites are usually split between outside and inside, so there's quite a bit of high-velocity small weapons here. They're switched to semi-only in really tight quarters. I'm not looking for something completely milspec, but something that both works and looks half-decent at the same time. WGC order's just been put in.

Why do you have some sort of clamp on the barrel, just behind the flash excluder?

I also put an Email to see if I can throw in a Para barrel.
While the AN/PEQ will be ugly, it'll not only work- it'll completely rape in CQB, which is going to be my primary concern.
A high-voltage battery'll go in as well, the AUG's been upgraded to a steady 360 FPS- I just need a higher rate of fire then what I have right now.
The clamp is a small rail I bought locally, yet have nothing to put on it.

I'm requiring a civilian receiver too, if anyone has an extra kicking around.
Just bought a Guarder short barrel, but am still looking for something even shorter then that, as well.
AN/PEQII 2-shot MOSCART will be going on as well, so'll a flashlight and laser combo.
