uscrocks29
I've had a Midland GXT-700 GMRS radio for quite some time now and I need a proper headset to go with it. First of all, let me say that I'd really rather not replace the radio as it's a fantastic bit of kit that hasn't let me down in the slightest even with all the abuse I've put it through. Now, as for the headset: 1. I've heard that the Midland plug is compatible with the Icom standard plug, is this true? 2. Also, I've seen several Midland made headsets that will not work with the GXT-700, is this because it has a different plug from the other models? 3. If the answer to number 1 is yes, will a headset made for an Icom fit the Midland GXT-700? Thanks to anyone willing to help- Phil

uscrocks29
No, I've already looked on that site, and the plug it shows being compatible with Midland has 1 black stripe on the short prong, my plug has two. That is why I am asking the question.
