Kraut
I want to replace the rear sling plate of my ICS M4. I've noticed that it is obviously different from normal sling plates, in that the screw to hold it together is in the bottom portion. Is there any aftermarket support/mods/anything that would allow me to use either a hook or 1.5" strap? Thanks.
Kraut
I take it that's a "no"...
RSM
Erm, what exactly is it that you want to do? Fit a sling loop? You don't need to do anything bar remove the stock tube and mayhaps sand the rails on the tube mount down a bit to fit any aftermarket plate going. Alternatively, use one of these http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airs...il?prodID=21544
Stealthbomber
I think I know what you're saying... The lower screw on the back of the ICS M4 receiver is in a slightly different position to other M4s. That means if you fit a sling plate you can't fit the screw through it. The good news, kind of, is that it doesn't matter. Remove the stock. Remove the cap off the back of the stock tube. Stick a screwdriver down inside the stock tube, undo the screw in there and then remove the stock tube. Fit the sling plate over the buffer tube. Refit the stock tube and reassemble. It'll all be fine. Have you used a sling plate on an M4 before? I must say, I wasn't impressed. It positions the rear sling loop way too far forward IMO. You think it's not too bad at first but it'll start to feel way too cramped after a while. Far better, IMO, to make use of a sling point on the stock. I know the sling loop on the LE stock isn't in a brilliant position either but there are handy slots in the stock or there's always paracord.
