hugh_b Posted June 9, 2010 Report Share Posted June 9, 2010 Decided to part with my new ares l85 as it's not really my cup of tea! I purchased this new last week. It's the latest version with metal 8mm gearbox. Upon receiving it i found the fps to be a tad low so i checked it out internally and found they don't come standard with the upgraded parts any more. It has had the following added: -Ares stainless double o-ring cylinder head -Ares stainless o-ring air nozzle -Guarder polycarb vented piston head with bearing -Fireworks airsoft Beta AB mosfet -Madbull 60 degree hop rubber -EC3 connector With these parts the airseal is pretty damn good! Consistently chronoing at 315-320fps. I also did the following: -Complete re-shim -Clean all gearbox parts & shell and re grease using quality greases and lubricants -Polish cylinder internally It also includes the following accessories: -ACM/RSOV deluxe 4x acog with trades, works perfectly as do all the adjustments -Ares 20mm rail adaptor (to mount acog etc) -Genuine issue new sa80 sling -Original F&R iron sights -Ares sa80 130rd mid-cap This has only had 3 mid-caps through it in the garden to set the hop and zero the scope.
