dallen19
Am looking to set up a us medical loadout. Anyone know where i could get the required gear and could someone list what the US medics wore, i have a rough idea but a list of the basics and equipment they had would really further my look. Rigiddigit
US medic kit was not that different from the troops they supported. Same jacket, trousers and boots. There is a special medic pouch worn either as a single o,r with a special yoke, as a pair. Best illustration I can find is on ATF web site; http://www.atthefront.com/us/fieldgear/medicgear.html They can also be seen with a musette bag used as a substitute for the official bags. US Red Cross arm bands had a stamp and serial number on the reverse. The serial number was the same as that on the medics Red Cross card. Helmets often featured some form of Red Cross painted upon them. Often on a circle of White. There was a Combat Medic Award, it wasn't seen until later in the war. Not seen very often on combat kit, usually reserved for Class A.
