DangerWerx
So, a local friend of mine recently saw my work with my Mp9 threaded barrel and asked me to make something similar for his Mac11. The Mac11 comes standard with a thread on the barrel, but is different from the airsoft standard of 14ccw. My friend wanted to use his current collection of mock barrel extensions instead of buying a new one. This is what I came up with... I pretty much used the stock part as a template. Not much had to be changed besides adding the new threads. In the stock KWA barrel, there are shallow channels at the end of the barrel, I assume for air passage. Instead of cutting channels (I don't have a broaching tool to do it) I did a cone shaped cut at the end. Resulted in a nice amp effect, not major, but its there. Here is a pic turning down the rear profile... Here is a pic threading the threads with my favorite tool ( 14mm x 1mm LHT ) This is a "Before" and "After" and here is the MAC11 sporting a mock barrel extension So now instead of saving up money to buy a Mac11 Specific Mock Barrel Extension, my buddy is now that much closer to buying a New EDGI Extended 288mm tightbore for his Mac11. Not too bad for about 2 hours of work.
