16kuokhc1
I'm considering on buying a CYMA CM052 RPK and I'm wondering whether should get two RPK flash-mags like these: ( should I just get a CYMA drum mag? (Note: I am not considering midcaps since I already have 3 CYMA metal midcaps and a few Mag midcaps) Flash Mag advantages: -Is Realistic (since the RPK74 didn't use drum mags) -Doesn't require batteries -Much more compact -Doesn't require Cleaning Flash Mag Disadvantages: -The Chinese PLA doesn't make a pouch the RPK (so I would have to buy a soviet one, or make one myself) -Not that intimidating -Bipod use is awkward Drum Mag Advantages: -More rounds held -Auto-Winding -It's a Drum mag, it's more scarier! -Allows for sustained fire -Bipod can be used comfortably -Can be stored in a Chinese PLA drum pouch (which is easily obtained here in HK once you have contacts) Drum Mag Cons: -Unrealistic -Prone to Jamming (eg. Needs to be kept clean)
J.J.Simpson
RPK-74 used drum mags in limited quantity - asked Wikipedia. If you add relay and some 2-contact wire from mag to RPK - you can make it wind when you press trigger. Thats what I did in my RPK mag
