For sale is a rare Insight Technologies Visible Light Illuminator II, or ITI VLI-02. This early weapon light was issued as part of the original SOPMOD and SOPMOD Block I kits issued to USSOCOM teams in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This light is an ideal accessory for early USSOCOM kits, and is frequently encountered in photographs of operators in-period. It is incandescent, powered by 3 CR-123A batteries, or by 6 AA batteries, and is compatible with ITI tape switches although none are included.

The light has NSN number 5855-01-448-5464. This is a particularly early model, with serial number 305, and has a rack marking of ‘W’ engraved on it by a unit armourer.

It is in good used condition with the marks to be expected from at least a decade of military service, but is entirely functional. A damaged flip lens-cover will be included for free.
