Laptop bags for big arse lappys?

Does anyone know of a manufacturer or brand that makes an uncrushable laptop bag for 17" widescreen laptops (16.5x12x5in)?

I had one for my older 15" lappy, that was uncrushable, made from cordura with a steel rectangular fram around the man body, padded inner and ABS panels either side. It was made by Targus and is a wonderful bit of kit.

Now I thought it'd be an easy task to find the same thing but larger. I thought the larger version might have a handle and rolling wheels to make life easier at the airports.

I've not had any luck so far.

Basically I'm after:

- uncrushable

- airport safe (has to be within carry-on limits)

- rolling (preferably)

- at least two compartments, one for laptop the other for powerpacks and general guff

Al the ones I've seen lately would basically smash the powerpacks into the laptop if they were sat on or kicked.

This is slightly too big for airlines, plus it's got a laptop sleeve, not a secure strapped area. My priority is keeping the laptop safe and in one piece.

Stuff liek this is a nice idea, but ony has a single retaining clip that's bound to fail and explode the contents under stress: http://cgi.ebay.com/Toshiba-Satellite-P-20...oQQcmdZViewItem

The most likely candidates I've come across so far are these:

Anyone been through a similar scenario and have any advice to offer?

Personally I'd go with the aluminium case type of bag, I had one of these linky for my old laptop but in the 15" flavour. Kept it nice and safe all the way to hong kong and back. I'd even feel pretty safe checking it into the hold, but I had a spare laptop sleeve to cushion any large drops as the padding is quite minimal on the bottom of the laptop.

just my thoughts anyhows.

EDIT - I believe that it comes with a padded velco divider thing to stop ur psu from hitting your laptop as well.
