Er... am I going to have to find a specialist battery website to find an 8.4v NiMH battery that fits in a Crane stock?

I contacted WGC and had them measure the cell dimensions for this THIS PARTICULAR BATTERY

 

diameter of the cell unit: 22.8mm

length of the battery : 87mm and 130mm

 

I took those dimensions and compared them to the Intellect 3800mAh batteries from AEX and those dimensions match

 

I have also shoved those intellect batteries into the HK416 stock while I visiting AEX to make sure they fit, and they do fit.

Would a regular Large battery fit in the HurricanE?

 

Also, how would an MRE interface with an XM177E2/M733?

With the XM177E2, not at all, it's not threaded for a barrel nut.

The M733 most probably works, but I'm guesstimating that the flashhider will just reach out of the MRE.

And then as things move on, I'll get the HK416 reciever, plus a new rear sight (and possibly a new front sight), the 'sniper'-style trigger guard, perform a full over-haul of the internals, and possibly strap a PEQ box to it.

 

As it is, the initial purchase will likely consist of only the M733, MRE, and flashhider, with the stock, foregrip, inner barrel, &c. updated as the funds are made available. If it turns out that the MRE is too long for the M733 outer barrel, I might also purchase a 14.5" or 16" outer barrel or a CASV in OD. (If the 11.5" outer barrel that it comes with falls through, I'll likely go all the way to the 16 incher.)

Go with the the MRE kit with out the outter barrel from king arms then purchase the KA's 16 inch outter barrel. After that I'd buy a prometheus 409mm inner barrel (correct me on length it could be 410 not sure) and that'll give good accuracy if you also couple that with systema hop up, systema bucking (or your stock TM one), big out H nubs (use the white one) and you should have a really accurate rifle.

 

IMO though i'd have patience and wait for the VFC HK416, they look exactly like the real deal and are probably really nice externally and maybe internally? dunno but the 10 inch 416's are friggin awesome looking.

Wait... why would I spend nearly an extra fifty dollars for the KA MRE that comes with an outer barrel and then turn around and spend another sixty on a longer outer barrel?

I suck at life sometimes.

 

In any case, I think I will temporarily postpone this project until after I get some new load-bearing gear, camouflage, and optics for my Type 89. And maybe even until after I get an MP7A1 or a WA 'Kimber' Warrior.

 

EDIT: Or until I finally manage to sell my other two AEGs....
