If you're talking about the tiny outer barrel, then yes (based on the 2 g3 sas's I own).

 

1, you can just crank down on the setscrew (and repeat as needed)

2, you can figure out the sweet spot of maximum barrel tightness, and either file a little flat for the setscrew to bite into, or drill a little divot there, for the same effect.

 

I reccomend #2 if you are at all mechanically inclined. I used the "drill" method, myself. My outer barrel is rock solid.
