A Case of Guilty Conscience.
I'm going to the Amazon rainforest in Brazil (mostly) and I will be the happiest mutherf***er in the world once I am there. This is a clear statement of fact because this is a dream I've been longing for and carefully nurturing for years; and I'm going on a preliminary trip, before Christmas with a bit of luck, to scout the area and general scenery out (or possibly the other side of South America through Bolivia and parts of Peru, as it happens).
This may have something to do with airsoft yet, stay with me
The thing is, right, that if I devote my resources to airsoft over the next few months then I won't be able to go to S.America so soon or so auspiciously, so it is with some generalised guilt that I negotiate for a series of flight cases for my existing collection in order they be transported and displayed with ease; it wont cost crazy money for each one by any means, but seeing as I'll be needing about 8 altogether they certainly aint gonna be cheap overall!
And then of course there's the whole concept of `savings` Damnit damnit damnit. I know that by cancelling my weekly standing order to buy guns I'm being foolhardy in the extreme, but its one of those things thats tricky to give up doing...
As are a great many things - and they all tend to give lots of entertainment in the short term and plenty of grief over time, and conversely; to do the things that will prove prosperous in the long term you must detract from in design or downright deny in effect pretty much all entertainment in the immediate sense.
So who do I betray; me in the present, or me in the future?? Ain't that a b**tard of a choice to make - and we all gotta do it all of the time don't we? Well in this instance I find myself unable to provide for my future self so well as for I do for myself now; thems the breaks; I just hope I can make it up to me later
-
But on without the guilt These here flight cases should take from 4-6 pistols for the area inside, and the depth of them allows for 2 layers which means that, along with some short SMGs & shotguns at a quantity of 1-3 per layer, I should have the storage and the security for around 55-60 guns, which is, conveniently enough, pretty much the size of my small arms collection
Then of course I have the ability, nay, obligation, to build real display cabinets for the rest of them i.e. the long arms, and to that effect I have come across a great solution for pretty much all my armourary (that a real word?) needs - a Draughtsman, or Draughtsman's cabinet.

Ain't that just the most *perfect* thing you ever did see? Shame it costs £1200; time to find a cheap new version methinks....
