Woooo, yeah!! I finally got me the last important stage of bein' a Hippy under my belt: I had my hair dreaded (i.e. made/put into dreadlocks) yesterday, and I'm pretty freakin' pleased with the results Its gonna take a lot of work to get them to properly mature, about 6 months by all accounts, but finally I'll have the hair I always wanted.

I feel soooo effeminite saying things like that

Thats a big step for someone who's been growing their hair for 7/8 years but it was either that or chop it all off, and I'd simply never have forgiven myself if I had got it all lopped off and not ever even tried dreadlocks. Some things you really have to experience for yourself I reckon.

I am at present trying to work out a way to tie a MARPAT bandana, to shield them for a couple of weeks, and to get that real `Cap'n Jack Sparrowww` look but this is also a real good excuse to incorporate that lovely MARPAT design into my everyday life

In the airsoft-y realm of things, this morning I have taken on this mission to try and get the guys I skirmish with to buy and charge their own bloody batteries; as it is I've bought well over a dozen batteries for use by the crowd that goes down together with me, whereas if it was just me going to skirmishes then I would only need 5 for every skirmish eventuality: 2 stick, 2 small and 1 large.

That lot, plus 5 chargers, 4 dischargers, and all the time and effort to condition, charge, discharge, recharge and test every single battery for every single game is becoming just a bit much to ask of one guy IMHO. Especially when the same dude is lending these guys all their guns & kit in the first place

So I might have to kick some *albartroth* this Sunday; I think I'll call everyone and let them know what they have to get in order to keep coming along. At the end of the day I wanna have fun just like they do, so splitting some of the responsibilty between everyone is only fair.

In other news, I have a bit of a conspicuous penchant for STAR at the moment, or at least you could be forgiven for thinking that. I have an L85 AFV on order, and will hopefully (disasters not withstanding) order it on friday along with a couple of L85-specific batteries and, to pre-empt my comrade's generousity, 3 large batteries that they can buy from me once they have arrived . They may not know this yet, but I WILL be selling them all to their good selves.
