Well, thanks to a necessary trip to london for an interview for a DJ gig out in Greece, I shall once again be paying a visit to Electrowerkz.

I'm doubly glad cos Situpking and HKChick are gonna be there - I was happy going on my own and hooking up with a few of the guys I played with last time I was down, but having the two of them there will mean it's even more fun.

You know, I never really talked about how good it was last time - the after action report didn't really cover stuff like the camerarderie I felt.

When I'm at my local, no false modesty, I *know* I'm one of the better players there. I lead my own team, and we kick a lot of *albatross*. At EW, I was very concerned I'd be out of my depth - it's the Dark angels home site, and they're one of the best teams in the country. Situpking was fantastic about treating me like a valuble asset - most obviously during 'get off my land'. He came up to the top floor, which we held, and hadn't seen me because I was covering the door. I noticed he'd shown up and was directing a few newbies to fire positions, and I came over and went 'Dude, I got this.' He just looked at me and replied "Yes, you do." and buggered off. He didn't come back to check on me once, and at the end of the game, I came back to the safezone and went 'You owe me the top floor.' He just grinned at me.

There's something incredibly warming about the fact another player, who I respect tremendously as an airsofter and as a human being, trusted in my ability enough to just know that I'd hold the floor, rally the other players, and make sure that he didn't have to worry about coming back to assist.

I don't quite know how else to explain it really. It's really hard to say how good it felt to know that he had enough trust in me to just be able to do that.

Anyway, I'm gonna be back on tuesday. I'm travelling light this time - much as I'd like to run the FWP rig, it's not necessary and taking all that kit would just be heavy. I nearly threw my back out on the last london jaunt, so I'm learning from it this time.

It's gonna be tiring, but it's gonna be a blast.
