    Picked this up as an early christmas present before it went out of stock on ASGI. (Got the base aeg for $130!)

     

    Anyone have experience with the Magpul aftermarket selector switch? I'm really disliking the one on this, I feel like I'm going to break it off every time I disengage the safety.

     

    Cool, how did you manage to use PMAG 20 LR in SCAR ?

    Was there a rib inside the magwell like VFC's SCAR-H and is now removed?

    I thknk it's a KJW blue frame, discontinued item, there was a red one at that time too.

     

    If some brand produce a blue frame for TM G17 I think I will get one and build a second TM G17...... for "simulation" of coz! :P

    First of all, those are some lovely glocks indeed. Love the g34!

    I also had problems with the speedplates. Had to file them down to fit. Then they became too flimsy

    and two of them broke! Will also get the +2 instead.

     

    Get some ACM long mag and exchange the +2 with standard mag and you're done :D

     

    Buying the +2 alone would be very non-cost-effective :P

    Thinking of building very similar AK but with SAW grip, and b'coz LOP with armor would be too long for me, so I may need an M4 style stock tube.............and ta-da! A somewhat 80% famous GoGun "Mag-K"! And of coz it will be AAC'd with Private Parts silencer set :P

    Let us know how those are - they're relatively new and look VERY nice, but the price point is a huge turnoff.

     

    Take a look, it looks B4D4$$! I'm sold!

    .........and b'coz I'm sticked to Marui's system, if I got a KSC glock I would try real deal with some mods, which seems not possible on Marui.

     

    BTW..... just lost a bidding and the assigned budget is now free :P

    The only place I found AIP stuff was at eHobbyAsia, aren't they located in HK?

     

    My office hour = and hour or two + their office hour + 30 minute or something.......plus, extra half day work on Saturdays <_<

     

    Edit: BTW, gonna get DETONATOR sight instead, just found out my original TM sights are no more, and yes, both sets.

    Well I think it's safe to say that real slide catches do not work with the TM G17. I just broke a Glockmeister extended slide catch trying to bend it into shape. There goes $15 :angry:

    The AIP mag catch is no more extended than an extended mag catch. the benefit is that it adds surface area to aid in mag release. Although I do have to say that I'm left-handed, so when I do a proper thumbs forward hold my hands do not touch the mag release. However, when I hold it right-handed, it still doesn't hit the mag release. Hope that answers your question.

     

    Thanks man, but I couldn't find one in Kwong Wah Street last night as AIP stuffs are made in HK!

    What a shame :blink:

     

    BTW got tempted by DETONIC GL11 Sights instead when I saw the set in person... :P

    Thanks! It's an AIP Aluminum Mag Catch.

     

    looks nice, but how's the thickness?

    seems thicker than stock mag catch, makes me worry about dropping the mag with "proper" gripping........ i.e. the pressure of left hand palm pushing against the mag catch while gripping.

     

    BTW wanna get one anyway, looks practical :P

    For now I´m going to stick to AK47 lenght since I´ll be playing mostly in woodland environment where the length isn´t an issue.

     

    Beta project mags are mostly because of better fit in pouches. + some touch of magpul of course :D

     

     

     

    I considered UltiMAK as well but having that side scope mount already I choose to go this way. Also, I prefer to keep that wooden upper front hand guard (as with the Romanian stock) just to mix old with new. :P

     

    Haven´t really field-tested that SAW-grip yet, but so far it feels a lot better than the normal AK grip. It´s an Element from EBB and actually is quite sturdy.

     

    Luv the SAW grip! Mine from G&P conversion kit feels great :D

     

    If I were you I would use Romy lower Hand Guard and ULTIMAK rail for the mixed look

    BTW the T1 can sit lower for better cheek weld........if any :P

    the VFC mounting rail is not MilSpec.

     

    Bingo :P

     

    VFC's rail is around 1mm thinner than other AK rails, which is beyond what adjustment can do.

    You may need to use something as "shim", I suggest put that shim on the top side of the rail to prevent the shim coming off.
