Dont get me wrong MRF I love my MK18 and Sopmod block 2 guns/rails too its just all these low drag guns look really sexy and if I made a civi style gun i may be able to resist bolting loads of addition widgets and doodads on the gun in order to make it look "just right" and have a nice slick gun. Issue is i've bought into the TM recoil guns and I dont think I could buy another AEG that wasnt recoil so building one would cost a few £££ and having just finnished off my Devgru gun funds are a little hard to come by at the moment, and you can never have too many guns!
(by the way CKinnerley I assume it was you that I saw pop up on the TM recoil page on face book? that group is really good, its funny Spetsnazdave seems to have joined as well, its nice to see a few familiar Arnies faces appearing on there)

I personally would leave it as well, id rather have to wait to either buy or sell but then when i do get my cash/gun rather than have loads of sales but with a higher chance of getting ripped off!

its really nice as i said I have the same one and did the same thing (good old games workshop paint!) and its a really nice scope i would recommend it.

I found I had to take the upper receiver off and remove the barrel assembly. The charging handle then pulls all eh way back, twists, and pulls out as one whole piece. You can then click it back in the other side.

I always seem to have trouble posting pics and can never remember my passwords on flikr etc so i'll friend you on face book and message you one ? if you have a look for any of my pics on the recoil group on FB theres a few on there as well !

Ah thats weird as I bought a normal sopmod upper for my Mk18 conversion and my Dytac barrel has a bit of a wobble this bit http://eagle6.co.uk/shop/catalog/product/view/id/630/s/tokyo-marui-outer-barrel-support/ was built into the barrel already ( I bought the expensive cnc'd one as I thought i'd need it, I guiuess I have a spare now !) it need some form of shim under that part or maybe a bit of the barrel at the base chopping off ? lord knows???

Indeed, I am intrigued??? I wanted to convert my Recce into a MK18 and was advised that the ris etc was a pig to get off so i just bought a new upper, barrel and the correct RIS and built a MK18 out of the recce lower and the new upper (its quite good as I can still swap back to the recce upper if required), I didn't notice any difference between the sopmod and the recce?

Bladerunner how did you get the barrel nut off of your Recce I've heard its nigh on impossible to get the ris and the barrel nut off ?!?

Its on the recoil group on the book of face so I would assume it is.
I wish i could leave my guns that simple I always strap every but of techno wizadry i can onto mine!!!

I got to use my DEVGRU this sunday its awesome great range and accuracy (its a TM recoil now my 3rd I wasn't really expecting anything else!) and when I borrowed an 11.1V battery out in the field i was pleasantly surprised by the ROF especially when half the other team came round the corner at a bottleneck he he he!!!

Pkekyo-Nor is that the Vision king 1.25 - 5x26 ? I got one recently for my Block 2 and I must say its a lovely scope clear as a bell and a blue recticule Nice!!! I was wondering about putting it on my 416 but I think its a but much for a 10" barrel!

I got a DEVGRU 416 last week, not fired it yet but so far its pretty darn solid and the extra bits seem pretty good, cant wait to get out on sunday and give her a blast see how it compares to my other 2 recoil guns ( you could say i'm a convert lol )

What make is the rail and how was it to fit, did you need to shim it at all ?
It looks very nice BTW I'm on my 2nd conversion of a recoil the block 2 rail went on ok but there were a few issues with the MK18 both Madbull.

I converted my Recce to a MK18 I was just gonna take the ris off but i was told that basically it wont come off without resorting to extreme measures, in the end i just got a new upper and barrel and whacked the mk18 ris on that, the bonus is i can still pop the recce upper back on if the fancy takes me.
