Sort of. The problem is that the receiver extensions are much harder than the lower receiver. Im worried about that. I dont have a real UBR on hand otherwise i would try it out for you guys.

What rails did you have mounted, what VFG and how much "stress" did you apply to the handguard? Ive been running a similar setup on my PTS and my real MOE handguards and havent had a single issue.

Those grips are horrible because they encourage the user to chicken choke their rifle resulting in less control over the muzzle of the weapon. Its a bad design.

I dont think so. My buffer/receiver extension is in line with the upper receiver/gearbox.

Vidi, What is the melting point of the locktite that you used? Worst case scenario is that you can take a heatgun to the rear portion of the receiver and that should weaken the chemicals in the locktite enough to the point where the "seal" can be easily broken.

Im really having alot of fun with mine. To me it is by far the greatest compromise between durability, fit, finish and performance. IF it had the same style of action and feel as a GBB replica i would safely say it was/is the greatest airsoft gun ever made. Still, NO electric gun will EVER function like a GBB and thats ok. Despite that fact i am still really enjoying this gun for its plug and play ease of operation and the fact that it has none of the downsides of a GBB while still retaining, albeit in a reduced format, its benefits.

Ill be going to my fifth MD class on June 5th so no, havent been watching too many MD videos, been living it. I believe the GG&G product has more material on it so im not sure if it will flex in quite the same way as the MI product. Having said that, i wont buy any of GG&G's ######, cant stand their products after i had three MAD buis's fall apart in my hands.

You have no idea what you're talking about. That is an extremely old show and while it does not present the whole truth it certainly isnt biased BECAUSE of the fact that one rifle is american and the other is soviet. A T1 will give a lower 1/3rd cowitness on an ultimak mount.

I have the MI (midwest industries) sling adapter on my gun, these are made for real guns but they will work on the sopmods. You have to bend the adapter a little in order get it to fit over the castle nut but its on there and its on there in a hell of a strong way, its not moving. Hey man, im from New Jersey...dont make fun of my accent! The battery is in the MOE handguard. This gun has been front wired for about a month and a half now to two months and its holding up great. Its a 7.4 volt 25c battery, no 11.1 volt lipos for me.

Dan, Those barrels are 10.5 inches. A 300mm barrel will be barely exposed in your flash hider with that setup so most flash hiders that are slightly longer than an A2 will cover up almost the entire extended barrel. Astute assessment and 100% correct. I would not put a bungee sling on a stock, its not a "hard" mounting point.

I didnt cut down my spring and its about an inch longer than the stock spring. I did offset the length by putting in a rather soft spring. Traditionally stage one springs will give me anywhere from 280-310 fps. Im getting 350 due to the added length. Also, everything is assembled correctly as the magazine does actually push up on the bolt catch it just doesnt seem to want to lock into the tappet plate. Im guessing the wiring is in the way or i dunno, i honestly dont care all that much considering how amazing the performance of the gun is. Pictures will be up eventually.

I have 7.4 volt 2100 mah batteries in mine. Fits just fine.

I actually grabbed whatever i had laying around at the current point in time. Im not entirely sure but i believe its an Airsoft Surgeon Stage 1 spring. It was the shortest spring i could find in relation to the existing stock spring. No lockups yet and the semi auto trigger response is ridiculously fast.

I have a full wire set (minus the switch unit but including the stock connector assembly) i took out of my sopmod when i front wired it. Ive rewired my personal sopmod to the front, upgraded to 350 fps and done a few other things. The gun is running beautifully. What is that based off of? Socom gears stuff is basically madbull stuff or a refined WE product. So far everything they've produced that has come through my hands has been quality.

Richard, TM does not sell direct to anyone outside of Japan but Anakchan was nice enough to go out of his way and hook me up with some parts. The good news here is that only one other sopmod has broken down locally. All of the others are functioning fine. I still havent gotten my grubby mitts onto the other sopmod that broke but once i do ill go ahead and report here.

Yes, magpul miads and MOE's fit just fine. Ive mounted both. The JP rifles kits should work although the threading may be weird.
