  1. KA makes good quality stuff, and yes, it should fit your M15 assuming you use the original delta ring assembly. You hop up chamber may need to be fitted to the new barrel though. Other than that, you should be G2G

    Thanks for that!

Is it difficult to replace the hop up chamber?

  2. Thanks for the help guys.

I maybe confused things by linking to those pictures.

I used them just as a rough guide to what I was looking for, Im not bothered about my loadout being 100% accurate to that time, just a general look (if that makes sense!) I was more asking what could be used by this type of soldier.

While I respect the guys who have an amazing knowledge of military equipment and their loadouts a super accurate, its not really for me. I would find it hard to keep up with everything required and I couldn't really dedicate the time required to locate all the various bits of kit.

I love reading the posts made by the guys who really know their stuff (this thread and the Navy SEALS thread especially) but to be honest it kinda makes my head spin :P

  3. I recently bought a dolphin kit with the hopes of getting a TM M9 after but never did. If anyone's interested I will have it for sale soon but I'll be gone for a week as of today. send PMs for pics and such and i'll get back to you.

I dont think you'll have any trouble selling that here :D

when painting your gun you want to get tissue paper and stick it in the flash hider

make sure its not really cold where you are spraying it

split it in to parts so take of the add ons and mask bits you dont want to spray when spraying selector move the slector after each layer has dried

make sure you do lots on fine coats not just one really thick will come out better

    have fun

    Thanks Xander,

I feel pretty confident that I understand that actual procedure of painting a rifle but its worrying me that I will make a tit of it when actually doing it!

Quick question though, if you do get blobs of paint whats the best why to deal with it? Wait until it dries then wipe the area with acetone or something?

  5. I want to swap the barrel on my CA M15A4 Carbine for a shorter CQB style barrel.

Does anyone know if the CA Convertable outer barrel goes from the standard length barrel to a CQB length?

On that note can someone tell me what the actual length of a CQB barrel is and maybe recommend a good one if the CA version is no good?

  6. Hey guys,

Im pretty unsure when it comes to all the gear that is available and Im always amazed at the knowledge and attention to detail that many of you apply when it comes to your loadouts so hopefully someone can help me.

Currently I have a Blackhawk Nomex Balaclava, a Peckham ECWCS fleece, an ORC MCU Windshirt, a pair of Blackhawk Aviator gloves, Tricolor BDUs and a pair of Belleville boots.

When I first started skirmishing I didnt intend to go for any particular style but it has kinda evolved into a SF Afghan look.

I have been using Military Photos as reference but I now need to get some kind of vest/rig and Im a bit unsure what would be suitable.

I have provided some of the pictures I have been using so could anyone tell me what sort of thing these guys would use?

I will look forward to your help and suggestions.

    Thank you.

  7. Just go for it man, the less effort and thought put into the paintjob the more authentic it will look imo :P

    LOL :D

Yeah, you're right man but my O.C.D. senses are tingling every time I think about it :P

I'll get full of beer one afternoon and go for it...actually thats probably a bad idea!

  8. Looks good JPU. Nice and simple but effective, it will look even better when it starts to wear.

    Did you encounter any problems?

The reason that I ask is that I am about to start my first paintjob (been putting it off for ages) and Im trying to gather as much info as possible before starting.

  9. yeah i did have a devgru sight but i lost it im in the process of buying a new 1 and silencer is on its way not too sure on peq never really like them

A lot of people say they dont like PEQs but I genuinely really like them.

If you want your rifle to look realistic then you should really add one.

Each to their own though :P

  10. Does anybody own the KSC SIG P226? Lookin` for pics of that gun. Especially a side view with the slide locked back. It doesn't seem this gun is very popular, but it's pretty cheap at E Hobby Asia ($85 plastic, $137 w/ metal slide)

I've got one and Im pleased with it.

There is 2 versions though, the $85 will be the Taiwan version, the Japanese version is slightly more expensive.

I think the difference is with the trades, not 100% sure though.

Dont bother with the metal slide version the metal slide will be rubbish quality.

Look around a bit more and you will find the 2 versions for sale, I think the Japanese version is actually more expensive than the metal slide version which gives an indication of the quality of the metal slide!

  11. LOL on the sleepy voice! Despite the polished look of the video, we don't have any voice acting experience ... so we're still learning to enunciate intelligibly.

RedScare, the MKII is supposed to allow a large type battery in the stock. The Para won't take a large, it's too long. There is a way to slip the wire out of the holes in the foregrip. But you'd have to find your own way to mount a battery externally since it has no rails close by.

Moderator, please move this to the correct forum as necessary.

I thought your English was excellent, I wasn't being rude when I said you had a relaxing voice. I really enjoyed it. :D
