I dont think it should increase width. On one hand you are causing pitting which, on a very small scale, is causing the metal to deform outwards around the point the sand makes impact with the part (this is VERY small). On the other hand you have to remember paint is being removed which is probably more significant than the pitting from a dimensional perspective. What would worry me most of all is just the roughness of the parts wearing away at other parts like the brass buffer tube or the inside of the upper receiver. I doubt any wear would be significant but its something to consider.

Its been available by emailing or PM'ing me for a few months now. Again, it needs to be up on the site but every time I get close to finishing the new site I have to take a break for another huge project at work. Four more weeks and that will all change and I should have enough time to do the complete revamp and marketing work.

Mags should be coming complete with RS shells. I don't forsee that changing but anything is possible.

On some barrels its not so much that there is a notch cut, per se, its just that the loading arm travels underneath the outer barrel. Ive had a few barrels Ive done for people get REALLY close to clearing but ultimately just touched by a few thousandths of an inch. Its great youve found a barrel that requires less mods. Easier for the DIY types.

Making progress. Should have a first rev. prototype that can deliver gas but not bb's in a few weeks. Ill keep you all updated with video when the day arrives.

It will be listed eventually. Without going into too much detail there are a few things I want to work out supply and price wise before I make them so widely available.

Not that Ive observed. I've personally installed barrels in both non-serialized KJWs and Japan spec TK's in the last month using the standard cut barrels I send out to everyone. They all fit without a hiccup. I suppose its possible that there are some weird out of spec rubbers out there but that seems unlikely at best. @prodigy: Are you having a problem or just saying it seems fatter? Im not following if you were making an observation or having some issue.

    1) Make sure you dont have the hop set too high. Having it really high can cause weird issues. Also, any chance you are getting left over silicone lube in the hop chamber from your cleaning/lubing? 2) Yes, 3) I posted it a while back but its so temperature and gas dependent it was meant just to serve as a guide. In any case here they are again: Tests done with .20g bbs, propane, hop off, 70 deg F, and using the o-ring in front of the listed spacings... 0.000 | 385 0.040 | 360 0.060 | 340 0.080 | 325 0.100 | 310 0.120 | 285 4) No full stock options yet as far as I kn

Some have speculated that this gun takes VSR-10 rubbers. I looked at pictures online and, to me, it doesnt look like its quite right. The insides may be indentical (I dont know) but the outside is all wrong and lacks the ears necessary to lock into the hop-up unit halves. Yes, bucking and rubber are the same.

I have a question for anyone out there that has both non-serialized and serialized guns (Phenom1, thats you most likely): Have you observed any difference in hardness of the bucking between the two models. Kai and I were on the phone yesterday discussing the hop issues some people are having and it seems like most if not all that are having problems own a non-serialized gun. Im thinking that the rubber compound could have changed between runs and resulted in a stiffer bucking on non-serialized guns. I know people are adding material to the hop arm but the more I study this issue I think

Ive always had top notch service from Redwolf. Even if they are a couple bucks more expensive than other places they are very reputable.

As Raven1 alluded to above there could be a problem with the alignment of the two halves of the hop-up. Lock the bolt back and look at the back of the hopup unit. The two halves should be flush with one another. If one is farther forward than the other it could cause twisting of the bucking. This can be solved by taking the hop unit out and reassembling them until they are flush. Its quite easy and worth trying. Mag Update: Finally sourced really great American made valves. This weekend we should have flow testing done comparing our valves against other major brand's magazine v

Ill take a closer look at my hop-up assembly. When I looked a few days ago I didn't see any significant side to side play or wobble.

As you guys are modifying your outer barrels please remember that the measurements Raven1 and I posted way back when were for just one type of outer barrel. Ive done a lot since then of many different brands and they have all been different. Some have required the bore be enlarged while others haven't. Some needed the depth of the bore shortened instead of lengthened. My advice to those doing this mod is to get a set of digital calipers and take your time planning out your cuts.

Their site is under construction so I wonder if their email is down while they make a transition. Nice report Raven1. Nobody knows how to test/beat the KJW platform like you do. Its thanks to reports like this that people continue to buy the KJW platform.

No, not yet. Ive got a good batch of orders pending right now that Im finishing up. Last week was a hectic week getting a large number of orders out as well. Ill get around to it very soon. Ive been doing the new website too which should be really cool.

Barrels are 6.03mm Madbull Python V2. Cost is $45 plus shipping. To avoid further clutter in this thread its probably best for everyone to PM me with your parts and pricing inquiries.

I have a video up on YouTube on how to install the barrels. Look back a few pages for the link.

Look back over the past 10 or so pages. Some guys have resorted to using heat shrink tubing on the hop arm to make it slightly thicker. Maybe the KJW needs an enhanced hop arm. Ill look into it.

What gas are you using? What is the ambient temperature? Does your gun have a serial number?

47, 363mm 6.03 tightbore gives you a good 20-30 FPS boost. Groupings improve a considerable amount. Raven1 posted our results a while back as to just how much better they got. IIRC we were getting 2-3" groupings at approximately 75-80 feet from a supported position.
