Hi Allgunzblazin. I have an L85 and it is a very nice rifle, powerful and accurate. I have been lucky with mine, has been reliable with perhaps 6-8000 round through it too date. (am writing this while tching wood and holdin a lucky rabbits foot!) However, if you get a bad one, and I understand that they are arround, then I would avoid as a first gun unless you are confident to strip and rebuild/modify, or you know a man who can. Well, skirmished mine again today. Absolutely faultless! Semi auto working as it should. Cheapo battery lasted longer than the expensive one that went into it early in the PM. Am finding that it's a bit fussy on mags. The supplied one works flawlessly! Still have not disabled the blowback as it is not causing concern or problems. All in all a supperb peice of kit

Skirmished mine for the first time yesterday and am extremely impressed with it!! Function was almost flawless, only the odd missfired semi auto shot, though this did seem to improve as the day went, Chronoed at 332fps. Accurate (made many kills with it ). I have used the cadet GP rifle (single shot version which we teach cadets with) and feel, weight etc is very similar. This really is a fantastic piece of kit and would be for twice the price. Mine was shooting to point of aim after attaching the sights and with no adjustment straight out of the box! The ACOG looks very good but for the time being, I'm going to stick with iron sights (as an army cadet instructor, thats what we use on the cadet GP) and wait to see if there is an ACM SUSAT in the future.

Well,it has finally arrived from Airsoftworld!!!! I have to say that visually, it is fabulous!!! Fit and finish is superb!!!! Accepts Start 2 hicaps and Star lowcaps without modifications and fed a mag of each flawlessly!!!! Does have the first semi shot missfire when changing from full auto. Pity the box was changed, I rather liked the look of the Union Jack box. However, for £107.63 delivered. Bargain of the century!!!!!!!!! Am I pleased? HELL YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Roll on the 2nd Sept for first skirmish!!

Getting really excited now! (Does that make me sad?) Unfortunately will have to use M4 this weekend and not sure of next skirmish date Never mind, at least it will be here for my birthday, however, the wife doesn't know yet that this is what she is getting me!!

Reminds me of the instructions that you used to get with old LS model gun kits when I was a kid!! Still waiting for Airsoft worlds first batch to arrive I've lost count of the number of times that I've considered cancelling my pre order. However, keeping the faith because I want an L85 so much!!!!! UK 12 month warranty and discusions with airsoft world have convinced me that this will so be worth waiting for.

Starting to get a bit twitchy about this. Surely, missing screws, gas tubes and the issues raised causing a six week delay on delivery doesn't speek very highly of Army's quality control!! Trouble is, I want this soooo much!!!! Not sure whether to stick it out and sort any problems out with Airsoft Worlds warranty. Anyone else feeling this way??

Have just pre ordered one of these from airsoft world at £99.99. From the sound of it should be real bargain as no chance of being hit for import duty:-) I wouldn't mind betting that these are going to sell out pronto. Now looking on Ebay for correct sling. ORDER ONE. DON'T HANG AROUND, YOU RISK DISAPPOINTMENT!!
