It was originally almost all "gold". I had to paint the battery hood tan and the "inside" (?) black.

When I had mine I used to use a box of MAG AKM midcaps which worked fine. Then I moved on to RS midcaps and never looked back. ;P

Beta, what color is that?
It's Krylon Khaki, but sprayed just enough so that some of the black still shows through.

Krylon Khaki, but dusted lightly. You can still see the Surefire and Wilcox trademarks in fact. I think it turned out alright.

The pack connected to the LBT 1961a-r is beautiful; it's like it was designed to attach there. I had to connect 2 of the malice/buckle adapters (included with the ROP) to the MOLLE on the shoulder straps of the LBT, and then the bottom buckles on the pack took the place of the back strap. The whole setup is ridiculously comfortable and doesn't feel off-balance at all.

Mine needed a lot of sanding and "breaking in" (PGC Slide & Barrel set on a TM).

Just ordered a G&P M4 from ehobby with their killer Christmas sale. Hopefully their new 8mm box is as good as you all say. I already have witnessed their top-notch externals.

I personally have made it through with just a BDU top and t-shirt in colder weather than that. You should definitely be set with the fleece + Phantom combo.
Still loving my softshell by the way. I am tempted to pick up another in Black or Foliage.

Cheers man, worked out the previous owner had for whatever reason attached some kind of epoxy under where the mag catch sits which was preventing it from locking right

Hey bud,
In the first pics you posted, those TD covers looked annoyingly bright tan. In this picture, however, they look really nice. How do they appear in real life? I was looking to snag some for a Block II setup.
