Wow! Is that skull magazine release a custom job? Very impressive so far.
-
Awesome! Did the new nozzle decrease the fps at all? Also, between the 56 and 56-1, which do you like better?
-
'Atta boy. After using my Type 56-1, every other gun feels like a toy and not a weapon. This coming from a guy who also owns a VFC ak...
Edit: it's also the BEST out of the box performer ever.

Hmmm, steel vented upper hg by any chance?
-
To be honest, that is designed for airsoft guns and would be pretty difficult to fit. However, I do have a few suggestions. Midwest Industries makes an RAS system for real AK's that will fit the Real Sword just fine.

Also, RAS systems made my LCT will fit the Real Sword.
These are copies of the UltimAK, Krebbs, and Samson RAS systems, respectively.

Is there any possible way to fit a scope like on the SVD? Or, would I better be off with just a svd?
On the Type 56-1, you would need to slightly grind the left side of the stock and then install a real steel AK side rail.
Anyone knows what kind of railfronts will fit the T56-1?
Anything that will fit the reel steel AK stamped receiver series will fit the Real Sword. (:

Anyone have any advice for a decent magnified optic set-up for an AK? I'm building a mag-k replica, but I want something magnified instead of the T-1 that is on the real steel. I'm thinking of using the side rail mount and putting a short-dot/SPR mount on it. I'm guessing nobody has ever done anything so blasphemous, but does anyone have pictures of something like this? Or really any scope/mount that doesn't look like *suitcase* on a tactical AK?
You could always try a pistol scope on the UltimAK rail.

How are folks underfolding stocks holding up over time?
I have put mine up for quite the torture for over a year and it's still as strong as ever.

That would be the PTS. I believe a "First Impressions" is in order.
EDIT: Just kidding.

I'm toying with the idea with putting a silencer on my AK-74M. I'm getting mixed answers on this whole PBS1 vs. PBS4 thing.
Generally, people use the PBS1 for 7.62x39mm or 9mm, and use the PBS4 for 5.45's. So in your case, the PBS4. Hope that helps. (:

Whoa, those grips are sick! I wish I knew what they were.
Regarding the stock adapter, those will only fit on receivers made for full stocks unfortunately.
-
Yup. They use the same mags.
"Yes."
-
Identical. (:
-
Nothing major; at most just cutting off the "nubs" you can see sticking out of the top of the grip in this picture.

If the motor is the same dimensions as the Type 56-1, the motor is too thick for real steel grips. With a little bit of modification other brand grips will work (Dboys, etc.).
-
Real Sword Type 56-1 = <3
-
Yup, they will work just fine.
-
Actually, only the backs need modified. In fact, I bought a box of MAG brand AKM midcaps and they fit without any modification at all.
-
Sounds like a good plan to me, then. As for the grip choice, I am not sure if the AK SAW grip has the same dimensions as a normal M249 grip, but I really am not a fan. Too big in my opinion.

Might I ask the reasoning behind the Ultimak as well as optics mount? Perhaps optics mount for optics and Ultimak for a torch?
-
Quite epic indeed BigAl. There really isn't anything at all that I would add, save maybe a few MC-dipped P-mags.

Dang, I just bought the Summit a few weeks ago (medium tan) and now would rather have the Phantom instead. >.<
Great jacket nonetheless. I may just have to buy the fleece.
