I received a VFC AKs74u today and the front sight pins are missing, can anyone here recommend a replacement? Pics up in a bit. Thanks!

Most people use a base coat of khaki and then make brown stripes.

I actually tried strait-up paint thinner, and there was no way I was doing all that work, especially on the RAS parts. :/ Oh well, looks okay IMO so I think I'm just gonna leave it.

I actually would have done exactly what you said, however I made the mistake of painting the whole gun previously (which turned out horribly) so I had to fix it.

I don't really think a painted 416 was a good idea either, but hey, for a few quickly made paper templates I think it turned out rather nice! -

Thanks a lot man! I would have to agree with you about the wood. I think I will go with the black paint method.
EDIT: Oh, and It's a Real Sword Type 56-1 for anyone interested. Best weapon I've ever owned.

Are Glock 21 and Glock 17 Serpa's identical? I bought a G17 Serpa for my Marui G17 and REALLY have to cram it in there. I'm told that it's because the plastic slide is a tad bigger. If I were to buy a metal slide, would it fit properly?

Initial impressions of the VFC AKs-74un DXv2: Not nearly as nice as my Real Sword Type 56-1 but still nice. The finish is alright... looks a little, thick? The wood, apart from the wobble on the upper, is EXTREMELY nice quality, and the plum pistol grip is a nice touch. The selector lever isn't nearly as stiff or clicky as I would like it but I think I am spoiled by my Real Sword.
Also, there is absolutely no wobble in the stock, folded or unfolded.
