It should fit fine on the full stock model. I have an underfolder and absolutely love it! Definitely an investment.

Good. Now get me a drink.
Thanks man! Sorry if I sounded bossy; I was kidding. Have a good time with your new baby!

I demand a review.

they come back into stock now and again as I just got one last month. You have to Mod it to fit right but it's pretty easy.
The other thing about AK's is that it's only us westerners that like to stick names on them. The Romanians i worked with called the AKS74 (their version) the AK86 because thats when they got issued it. Thas was a Lt Col and a Major in the Romanian Army calling it that so I can't see how they are wrong.
Thanks for the info; I guess I will check WGC's site every day until they get more. Seeing as how you have one, how is the quality?

Yes, I am looking for the backwards sweeping one to allow for the underfolder to fold. WGC used to have a CAW one but they are discontinued. So does anyone know where I can get the old AIMS (backward sweeping) one?

I'm sure the folding stock will work just fine and look even better!
By the way, if anyone could point me in the right direction as of where to pic up a handguard like this I would be much obliged. Thanks!

It's been a long time since I posted anything, so here goes
My gun is finally starting to take shape... I really missed my wz96 Beryl (I had to sell both my beloved custom guns, the Beryl and the C7A1, before moving to Canada... stupid laws ;-( )
It took me a bloody year to get all the parts I wanted. All I need to do now is to get the sidefolder stock on and do some cosmetic mods to the front end, and that's it
Simply stunning. It looks goo and I can't imagine how insanely practical it will be.

Sadly this realsword is a lemon
Um... I'll take it. Where's your cleaning rod?
But since this is a picture thread, I will have some up in a few.
EDIT: Hehe, I was going for kind of a "terrorist" atmosphere. I think the grill igniter in the chicom makes it.

Nah, it could just be called a modded SLR-107UR
You, my freind, know too much about AK's. Nah, I wish I knew as much as you... I know the basics: Russian, Bulgarian, Romanian, Chinese, Polish, etc. but you seem to know a lot about the civillian versions as well (which is what I am guessing the SLR is). Thank you for showing me that though, now I have a legit excuse for an AKMsu wit side folding stock if I should ever decide to get one (Khyber Pass would work too but some people don't like that).
-
I know the 74 didn't use the 7.62 calibre but it's a picture request
I hope you know that we all hate you.
On a more serious note, if you had the right flash hider, the '74 could be considered a "Khyber Pass '74u", I suppose. I think it looks awesome!

Can't remember if this has been discussed previously but are KSC releasing a USP Compact Tactical?
I would really prefer that over the full size model....please KSC! I know the released a PS10 but that's not really the same is it?
Is this it?

No, my parents were cleaning out their closet the other day and found an old camera strap, which is what I am using for the sling. Thanks for the compliments!
-
It also needs the steel tip which Airsoft Atlanta doesn't include with their guns... BAH!
-
Mine? Yeah, I know. I want it to look... well, there isn't really a word for it, but you know what I mean. "Nicely weathered" I suppose, not so much abused.
EDIT: I have looked for the weathering guide but can't find it... could someone give me a hand?

Is that Guarder kit worth it? And is there a US retailer that sells them? I have only seen them at WGC. Thanks!

theres a little bit of side to side play on mine that can be taken out by either:
shortening the length of the threads on the countersunk securing screws that hold the left hand receiver plate in place inside the receiver so that the heads dont bottom out before they've pulled the plate tight
or
putting a small shim in between that plate and the inside wall of the reciever before refitting the screws (stick a couple of gearbox shims or a washer onto the inside of the receiver with some glue or heavy duty grease before
marrying the plate upto it
I'd expect that to take up around half of the play - after that you'll still have a little play left from the mechanisms lock being a springloaded wedge.
Overall the play between the plate and the receiver is under a mm - it just translates to a few mill by time you reach the butt area of the stock
TBH for the amount of play involved I just couldnt be arsed taking it apart again after I stripped and rebuilt mine for the review
See, on mine, even when the screws are not bottoming out (I already shortened them substantially) there is play because it seems like the receiver is too thin. Even as the mechanism is tightened to its full extent, there will be play because the gap for the receiver is larger than the thickness of the receiver. So, a shim is the only option; but I would have thought RS would've taken care of this from the factory... Oh well!

Hey there, just wondering if anyone can help me with my problem... However, there may not even be a problem at all. This is my first experience with a metal undefolder... (From this thread)
Well, I got my gun and it is quite nice. However, the stock has around a quarter inch of play to either side when folded in. Is this normal?EDIT: The problem is that the whole folding mech, when screwed together, has a wider gap then the thickness of the body, causing a bit of left to right play. Also, shortening the screws won't help, it's how the mech fits together. Should I make a shim?

I'm pretty sure the Real Sword internals are built like a tank. There is a review in the review section and I believe it addresses the internals but I could be wrong.

Nice. I am ordering one tonight from Airsoft Atlanta, they currently have a sweet deal. They do look extremely beautiful... It's a darn shame you have to get rid of it. Nice photography, by the way!

That's amazing! It almost looks like anodized aluminum!

Hi everyone!
Now im finally finished with my CYMA cm.042 and here you see the result.
Just curious... Doesn't that lower HG not allow the stock to fold? Thanks in advance.

...Not even cool. Now you're just teasing me.

Actually, I don't mind the grub screws. I don't have a problem tightening them and once I do, the thing is more solid than anything I have ever felt. I wouldn't mind pins, but the screws really aren't as bad as you would think.
