  1. OH-THAT mis-fireing problem Sorry to be so dense..
  2. Right and wrong! It will reduce the rate of fire which in turn will reduce the chance of the gears stripping because of the piston and sector gear meeting in the wrong timing. No it won`t affect FPS because the spring dictates FPS. I don`t think a different voltage battery would sort any problems with misfireing. As far as I am aware no-one has had any problems with misfireing.
  3. To the best of my knowledge it won`t harm the gun if there`s not enough current-it just won`t turn the motor over.I don`t think you`ll be able to get a battery that will have too much current.I am by no means an expert in this field so if anyone knows better please correct me.
  4. To all the people getting the 7.2v batteries-the only thing to look out for is to make sure they have a high discharge current i.e 35A or 50A (A=amp) like the ones here or it won`t give you enough current to turn the motor over. @Dr.Strangelove- Changing the hop in these is the easiest one I`ve done-It`s a standard M16/M4 HOP and to get to it you just split the bodyin half, after removing a single body pin,and slide the barrel out. It`s all shown in the manual you get with the AEG anyway.
  5. I agree RT. This AEG,for the money,is outstanding. The tiny niggles people have had on here including myself are far outweighed by the reasonable price tag and the good points. If you paid £300+ for a G&G version and the hop was bad or a bit of rust was evident you feel cheated but something as simple as replacing a HOP bucking or giving it a thorough oiling and clean on an AEG a third of the price is still a bargain in my opinion. The cocking handles falling off seems to be very limited to the unlucky few and mine seems very secure.Anyway most of the clones now come with a
  6. Good plan! The best thing I did was to install a metal Hop unit and good quality bucking into mine- Its sorted the dodgy hop problems I was having but it might just have been bad luck as everyone else has had no complaints with their Hop-units performance. Should have a 7.2v battery arrive 2moro so I can avoid stripping the gears. Then it`ll be out skirmishing with me this weekend for a thorough running in.
  7. Agreed.I`ve disabled mine too. Have n`t had the slowing down of the ROF tho`.
  8. From what I understand Subb0,yes that would solve the problem as it would reduce the rate of fire enough to ensure the sector gear does not meet the piston before it has had a chance to fully complete its cycle. Anyway getting a 7.2v battery is the fix um gonna use as I don`t want to have to replace gear s or add a spacer and 600 rpm is fine by me.
  9. Hi falconfour-did you get my PM regarding the tightbore on the L85 m8?
  10. The hop rubber on my`85 was useless .So I`m gonna try a guarder clear enhanced hop bucking and I heard elsewhere on Arnies that the Madbull `Shark` 3 fin bucking sold by Firesupport is `sposed to be the dogs,so I`m gonna try one of those too.
  11. I have noticed this too and feel the same about how robust it is. I don`t have much confidence that wads of grease will stop the tiny spring for being lost in the bowels of the AEG and then leave me with the task of trying to find a suitable replacement to enable the blowback to operate (Assuming that when this spring does decend into the chamber it doesn`t completely mangle the gears! ) I don`t have much experience with AEG gunsmithing so any attempts you make Mr stabby I would be intereted to know how they go and how you acheived it.
  12. Rolling Thunder- Yeah I`ve had this happen too. I`m gonna replace my hop rubber as my as the HOPUP is not working as well as I expect and I put the BB rolling out problem down to this. Do you think its a tight bore barrel in your opinion?`Cos I thought although at close range it was accurate at a distance there was quite a bit of spread in the grouping and was thinking of installing a 6.03mm.
  13. Sorry guys thats a really stupid thing to have said- I know exactly how you feel and I hope its with you ASAP.
  14. Well its here!!! Yaaaaaay!!! First impressions are how heavy it is! Solid, and the blowback is a treat. The mags slightly larger in legnth than standard M4/16 mags and easily takes 450 rounds. The magwell has taken any M4/16 mag I`ve tried so far. Lovely AEG. Only tiny niggle is the battery is a bit awkward to fit and the hop-unit on mine needs looking at as I`m not getting much HOP. And to the guys waiting for yours-It`ll only make it sweeter when you do receive it-The waiting and anticipation are the best bit. I`m taking mine on a skirmish tommorow so I`ll le
