  1. I was originally really fired up for getting my army R85 to complete my brit loadout.... now i think ive had enough given the horror storys im seeing.... if the piston isnt standard width, the precocking causes problems, the build quality is questionable on the cocking handle, the selector gear needs changeing to goto 16tooth piston... and on top of that some dont feed properly i may as well can my order and buy annother Classic Army gun which although costs more it works first time everytime.... Seriously.. small problems i can live with but this looks like a catalogue of disasters.
  2. Having never replaced a hop-up unit or buckling i have no idea where ill start when i finally get one of these. Probably just order a 7.2v batt and a TM m4 hop-up unit if the stock one is ######. As for the gears and piston... if they are terrible im sure it'll be an easy fix once i know hoe to fit a spacer and a 16tooth piston... the blow-back feature is cool but in the mean-time ill lock the bolt back to save bits dropping off.
  3. Glad to see what i heard has been backed up by AW - i heard it through a couple of mates in hong kong and they have the same wait as us for these. I doubt the ones from RSOVand LWA will be duff as they were supposed to land 4 weeks ago and as the AW and AA ones were supposed to land last week it makes sense theyre a month behind. fingers crossed everyone gets a working quality gun. For now im looking to get a new pistol... maybe a WA 1911 or a glock any suggestions ? my beretta has seen better days
  4. Word on the grape vine is that RSOV got the first major order in... when the problems with the design cropped up they stopped production to change the parts in the already assembled guns then restarted - hence RSOV's stuff is comming out first. I dont mind waiting... the battery has been changed since far-east's post, the blowback bolt has been increased in thicknesss to add weight and strength, the reciever has been channeled to stop the bolt grinding out and the pin on the mag released extended.... all in all it should be alot better gun for the money now hopefully this mean
  5. Is there a universal delay on these or something? Actionhobbys said they had them in stock when me and a mate ordered on the 25th, still no sign of em tho they've taken mine and his money... my order still says awaiting dispatch. what the hell is going on.....?
  6. arrgghhh my mobile phone bill is massive!!!!! i might have to cancel my rsov pre-order and pick one up in the next paycheque after this one... Anyone want my first 100 RSOV spot.?.. i might have to bail if my paycheque wont stretch far enough.....
  7. everybody hates delays... unless the end result is a better built more reliable weapon.... all the kudos to them if they get it right
  8. I would pre-rder one from Airsoft world but their website is broke.... did notify them tho nehoo ive already got one on preorder from rsov... if i get one from AW ill sel it to my mate.....
  9. I have to agree, i buy all my batts from model plane and remote control car suppliers half the cost of the airsoft shops for the same damn batteries... too much margin being put one em by the airsoft shops
  10. Man im like a little kind in a candy store...... its like this one time in amsterdam.... nehoo im psyched about this now - my m4 is totaly ruined due to a friend's pole vaulting incident yesterday so i cant wait till monday when keith from RSOV sends the paypal notifications out for shipping.... still im gonnna need mags......
  11. k ok my bad id just brought a m14 and ordered a box of those.... these are what im looking to use in my m4 and the sa80 http://www.airsoftarmoury.co.uk/product_in...020c90ee0eb4efc so my question stands.... if i glue 4mm of plastic above the catch hole (so they work in the sa80) will they still fit in my m4?
  12. Just had a thought maybe some of the more experienced guys may be able to answer.... If i add say 4mm of additional plastic above the catch hole on a m16/m4 mag so that it will work in this gun, will they still fit in my tm m4? I know fareast said if you bend the sides on the metal ones out a little they still fit in his m16 so would this be the same? I dont want seperate mags for each gun (except when i have to) and most midcaps ive found are plastic and the metal ones only avilable singularly or very expensive.... idealy id buy boxes of these http://www.airsoftarmoury.c
  13. Looks like S.ARMS and G&P are the only people who do metal midcaps... anyone know where you can buy em in boxes of 5 or 10 in the UK??
  14. Sorry for the confusion, I put m14 becuase moments before I did my post I was looking a buying one I have a TM m4 but all my midcaps are plastic so i cant bend them as suggested. Im in the UK guys so any suggestions on metal midcaps is appreciated, ill hunt them down.... dont fancy glueing plastic to the side of cheap plastic ones coz i wont be able to share mags / ill have to have seperate mags for my m4 and sa80
  15. Cheers for this great review fareast, you have been the first person to get round my reasons why not to own a sa80..... Im not up to speed on AEG internals and what battery can fit etc, can you suggest to me with a link to the 8.4 or 9.6 batts that would fit in this gun - i just preordered one from keith at rsov and will be wanting to take this out next skirmish. P.S. anyone know where i can get metal midcaps from to use in this gun? i have a m14 so dont feel like having seperate mags for each
