  1. The rail for the Star SUSAT is dovetailed from 21mm to 19mm, while the rail on the R85 is a straight 20mm. You'd therefore have to do a bit of filing. I fitted an 'mini' ACOG to my R85, but it was a bit low. So I've fitted an ICS M4 riser and that improves things no end. It required some Dremel action to remove the locating pin from the riser, but it tightens up nicely with no movement.
  2. Well, I used the R85 in anger for the first time on Saturday, and I was mighty impressed. It chronoed at 327 (this was my main work as the manual states it should be around 360) and the range was great. Accuracy wasn't bad; the BBs were straight enough, just sprayed left to right a little. I put a couple of thousands rounds through with no real problems. I've fitted a 2400mAH battery and it ran all day with hardly any loss of power. Only niggles were when firing on semi-auto, it has the tendency not to pick up any BBs. As noted in one of the posts above, a quick burst on auto clears this
