Now all we need is RA-Tech to make a better version of the block up front so adadqgg can stop moaning about it
And then they will make a replacement receiver/selector mech set to make the AK externally accurate...oh wait...
-
Is R-hop use-able on the px4?
-
You should just read through this thread:Felt like a real AK to me having handled one, granted it wasn't the UN variant. And for the picture what's wrong exactly? How many rounds does the mag hold? I'll annotate the video.
-
Not sure if detailed...what a bunch of haters. This was a good review..nice and detailed.
Because there was no mention of how wrongly-cast that potmetal part is.
Also, he said 30 rounds, when the mag holds even more.
He mentioned "realism"...but he did not talk about realism.
-
Well, it looked brass eventhough the post said it was CNCed steel.Odd choice of material, still at least users will have a choice.
Might come in handy for winter actually.
Not sure if WE is trolling...
-
I saw, in the video, that he said "a lot of the kinks from the previous WE-tech's AK Series have been worked out"
...
There is no previous WE-tech AK series.

Soon, you can get your nice piece of CNCed brass(?) to shorten WE AKs-74u back to "half travel" bolt and get normal GBBR performance.

For the record,
200 foot-reaching, 30 RPS, 400 FPSis hardly a monstrosity...
-
The plastic'y looking wood and the silver bolt just gave me that impression I suppose. Can't imagine many people these days would pay the price TM's still asking for their plastic 47.
True.
I have not seen a TM AK47 in person for more than three years.
-
Is that an original type TM?
More like a G&G combat machine/

Thanks for the heads up. In the interest of the female half of this household, wouldn't that smell rather atrocious?
Well, I have baked AK quite a lot more times than I have baked cookies.
And the oven does not really smell bad.
It is only slightly irritating in the first hour of baking (because everywhere in the kitchen smelled like what you would smell if your nose is within 1cm distance of the rifle after painting), but all you need is probably just opening some windows/doors, and turn off smoke alarm.
I have a question for any ICS ak users. Are ICS parts compatible with any other manufactures? I ask as i have damaged the reciever on mine and need a replacement but cannot find them in any of the usual places. (wgc/uncompany/ehobby/cobra) and really dont look forward to the prospect of my rifle turning into a wall hanger. So does anyone know if any of ak receiver would work?
Your best bet is to either contact ICS for replacement parts, or throw away the externals for an LCT full AK kit(nothing need to be said about how nice they are, minus a few inaccuracies).

^Been there, done that. Don't paint with the intention of having the paint wear off.
I ended up hating the ugly color of oxidized potmetal, so I re-painted (with rustoleum appliance epoxy) and baked in oven for 30minutes at 450 degrees Farenheit.
Which also happened to match the color/shininess of VFC AK finishes pretty closely.
-
Ahh thought that may have been the case. Thanks!
I just remembered: even the front sight block is slightly different... only one pin + screw...
-
So, if I get one of these and put some aftermarket steel controls on it(surely some manufacturer made some, like Guarder?)... it will be vastly superior to TM external-wise?
This new brand of GBB pistol seems very promising(affordable/full metal Samurai Edge M9 reignited my passion for zombie killing).
-
Cant figure out how to take the thing off first.
You need to unpin the front sight block.

I am going to be trolling by building my own tactical AK.
That tri rail top cover looked like the one on UTG ak...and it looks like SUITCASE!
-
http://www.ebairsoft.com/dboys-steel-ak74u-front-sight-block-p-4542.html
Make WE AKs-74u less potmetal-y with this.
Still no airsoft aftermarket part for curing the other parts, though.
-
No scope! Reddot and it's an aimpoint
I do not see a 20mm rail under it; so there is an AK clamp for it?
-
Anyone know what that scope is?
-
How do you mean detail? is it really that bad? i thought it was just crappy parts, like there original m4?
It lacks many details.
WE
^RealSteel
Also:
Wrong selector positions, Ak47 tacticrap selector switch + "experimental" polymer handguard, wrong triggerguard(realsteel one is round near the grip).
And I think the mag looked longer than realsteel.
I don't think its that problem.
In Taiwan good luck finding a real steel AK and don't even think about AKS74UN
hk416, XM177 are all base of AR spec. Guess what? the CAD CNC file for AR-15 part is online. All WE need to do is build one make a CNC version and they go their mold ready. Those that are not available can be purchase and ship into Taiwan easily. In addition, Taiwan Army uses Type 91 which is basically an AR-18 (internal) and M4 (external) hybird, WE could get hands on of RS AR-15. The same is NOT true with AK
This was kinda the same as A&K MASADA where they lack the actual dimension and as such cannot fully replicate correctly.
WE does not even need to look at a realsteel; they just need to take a look at VFC AKs-74U(pretty correct aside from dimension of siderail) or VFC clones.
The real problem is that WE got the receiver wrong; and that happens to be one part that is very unlikely to have RA-tech replacement for.
RA-tech needs to make its own WE AK.
-
It appears that WE is extremely biased towards western weapons.
Because the Ak lacks soo much detail(and reliability, AND performance...) while their XM177, hk416...etc. was just fine.
-
is there a tutorial for that somewhere?
You just cut on the back end of tiny tab on the bottom of the bolt until it pulls as far back as the real one?
-
I LOLed when he said "100th year of [his] nation"... 10% discount for nothing...
