  1. Haha do it! Which month/year did you purchase your Tanaka? I'm wondering if we have the newer batch that may last longer than the previous ones Do you guys have the Extended version? or the Regular? I'm thinking that maybe when Tanaka released the new Extended model back in March 2009, they may have fixed some of the firing pin/sear issues too... just a thought. BTW, I have the Extended 18inch version that can hold 7+1.
  2. No your spring is not worn, mine is new and it slides around too, my friend who has a real 870 says this is normal! BTW, I also posted a response to our other tread about this gun.
  3. Cool, is yours still stock even after a few hundred rounds with no issues? I'm wondering if Tanaka has made any internal changes since they first released them. I hope they do make guns in batches with improvements over time, but maybe I'm just a hopeful since I just got mine and presumably the newest batch. Maybe mine can last a few hundred rounds with no issues. I wish airsoft companies would just make some upgraded internal parts for the Tanakas already!
  4. Thanks man, I was able to tighten the rear stock just now by removing the butt pad then accessing that big screw.
  5. I got my Tanaka M870 today. Two questions: -> I noticed that there is some wobble to the fixed stock, it's not too noticeable until you grab it and wiggle it. Is this how they all are? -> I noticed that the front foregrip has some wobble to it as well, is this how real ones are too? Or did I get a defective one?
  6. Haha okay thanks, so would you say the Tanaka M870's are the most realistic feeling/solid exterior wise? Is that why you love it so much despite it's internal issues? It's just the internals that will need some work someday? Also, where did you get those sling swivels for the front and rear? They look pretty cool!
  7. How reliable are the Tanaka shotguns? Did you have to modify anything to get it to work correctly? I've found really mixed reviews, some say Tanaka's will break on you fairly quickly while others claim they've shot thousands of rounds through it with no ill effects.
  8. I ordered one from Boomarms yesterday, but I didn't specify anything about trades/orange tip as I assume they will take care of that when shipping to the U.S. I just hope the shiny bolt isn't too cheap/fake looking lol. In the pics, the shiny silver bolt handle stands out from the rest of the rifle alot
  9. I wonder if you can get a black aftermarket bolt handle. Hmmm I don't even know where you can buy a real K98 stock, but I'd love to fit one on.
