It's times like this that I wish I had my own machine shop.

Actually, we were pretty frugal. Both carry handles cost us about $40 (edit: after California sales tax and the usual "you live in the Bay Area" mark-up) for the 6061 alu bar stock, a flan made by me, and some lunches and dim sum. As for "too tall", the ultimate goal was to make these things practical. I am still looking into getting the realsteel Norwegian carry handles. To me, the CA and Star G36 bodies always seemed different. Enough so that duracoat in black is on my list of things to do for my SL9SD project to get the Star G36K foregrip and the CA8-2 upper and lower receiver to match.

Notes: -I started with a CA8-2 which now has my Echo 1 G36C gas tube assembly. - The mechbox is being swapped out completely for a custom aluminum shell I'm getting from the Q Project.
