  1. No, it is not compatible as it was the previous generation "Dezart Eagle" which had a different design and used different mags. The closest thing would be for you to get the Zeke kit or if Guarder starts producing a 10in kit.

I think he means the newer (2008) 10" Leon desert eagle. Which should work with the guarder kit. It takes the new mags.

  2. The gun's been around since 1911. You're not the first person to complain about the ergonomics. Hence you can buy these: http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airs...il?prodID=24611

And no handgun should be fired one handed. Although I personally find the original slide catch difficult to operate even when useing 2 hands. It's certainly not natural. One of the reasons I don't own one. Although I love the design, and there's many beautiful guns in this thread.

    Nice V12 Clockwork_O.

Edit at FireKnife: Having held a real 1911, I can comfortably say, you could never knock the slide catch accidentally. It requires quite a bit of effort to get it to move, when you're battling that things return spring.

  3. The guarder kited Detonics I had a fiddle with once worked fine. Wasn't the smoothest thing in the world to begin with. I'd say it's worth invest an hour polishing up the rails. It's all in the fitting. The finish picks up dirt fairly easily. Not a great texture in my opinion. Not horrible though. It's a fine bit of kit. Just not a drop in fit. Easier than the Nova kits no doubt.

I love that first picture of the Kimber. Makes me want to splurge my bank balance onto a TM. Good work.

  4. Another Jesus - Do you mean like this?

I would love that...but I have no way of doing it.

Exactly what I mean. I don't care if it's practical or not, it's just plain funky. Didn't realize anyone had done that to a 2011 before. Nice find. Now snap to it! :P

Should I paint the RAS? (I'm getting FDE rail covers, as well.)

I'm gonna have to agree with the above posts. But I want to ask too. Why the 7.62 compensator? I'm not saying you shouldn't have it. It's airsoft after all, makes no difference. But I think a black one would have looked better, a shorter one if you want to be accurate to real steal guns, or maby one of the JP style ones? Just some ideas, feel free to ignore me if you want.

Lovely looking gun btw. Can't wait to see what it looks like a few months after you've finished it. Hopefully nicely bashed about by then.

  6. Just fell off during a game. Happens to lots of g36s I've noticed. I lost both mine at one point.

Since that photo above, I've painted the mags(highcaps, not the dummy bullet ones), vert grip, and large handgaurd to go with the g36. My friend was most pleased with it : ) He just needs a silencer now.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys.

Stew b 10, I can't wait to see that VSR. Get to it!

  7. Me and stealth1911 had been talking about doing this for a little while. I was going to buy the RMW kit though, not the CYMA. So it'll be a little more expensive and hopefully rusty xD. That image has made me very happy though. Thanks USMCcorps. Apart from the 74 mag, that's exactly the setup I want. Brilliant job.

Edit: The RMW 104 kit with skeleton stock, has actually been my home page on Firefox for about 2 weeks now. I really am loving that.

  8. Yup, WA Prokiller SV2000F iirc, sold it a while back, semi and full auto, lovely gun.

And she's currently sat on my floor, not being fixed... Should get round to that sometime, but the damn leaf springs bent out of position again, and it took me 20 minits last time to get it working right. Gotta file down that SD chamber as well. Still sticks back when you fire it on the level or downwards. God that gun's a pain. Gorgeous though, and you've just reminded me how much I like that 4.3. with 1911 slide and m3.

  9. Now that does look nice. On second thoughts, ignore my comment about slopeyness. You'd have to line it up with the groves in the slide, then it wouldn't be a very effective compensator. I like it as it is : )

  10. I need some help with my RMW AKMS, the stock wont lock into place.

Well maby you should post in the tech section, not in a picture thread.

I like the AKSU Romulus. The wood's looking great. Hope she looks better when finished though.
