My max3 feeds OK, but it is very inconsistent FPS wise, maybe it is due to the barrel not being "locked" to the chamber or the hop mod I made... will be sure when the tabs arrive... one of these days derektemple: I dont know about the etiny, I plan to use mine as stock as possible as long as I can...

have you tried to insert the mag with the upper removed? that way you could see why the PMAGs dont activate the boltcatch, maybe the mags spring is not strong enough... Personally, im a bit worried myself, after remembering you said you broke your boltcatch I decided to take advantage of the hop up tabs order I made to WGC and buy a steel one, 6 bucks wont break the bank. But I fear the added weigth of the boltcatch will prevent the mag to actually activate it

Thought so... I might ask my father to lend me his "high speed dremmel" to speed up the job... mine is almost as old as me (and im not so young anymore ) now, curling the curl... Has anibody tried to mod this kind of grips? They look like they have a more vertical angle and I dont know for sure if a PTW can take that angle thanks for the input

If I recall correctly, RS grips can be modded to fit, so GBBR grips should be modeable too. Have any of you a guide to how to do it? I believe its 90% patience and dremmeling but I prefer to be sure before wasting a grip ^_^U

oh! I didnt know it was easy, im quite "technically challenged" thats why I thought about the whole mottor... will have a look at some vids and see if Im capable of making the change if the time comes, but will probably do it just for fun when the motor dies and get a new gun for spares and upper building

How unfortunate... well... lets see how long lasts the motor on the Max3 and will decide what to do then. But again, 200€ for the fcc V3 motor is quite steep... I saw the orga a couple of weeks ago and while the idea is good, 55$ plus shipping is just insane, I whole heartly wish it gets cloned, which can be done in a couple of afternoons while watching TV. Not a masterpiece of engeneering... TBH

Dont know where I read it was a regular AEG, no TW-ish I personally would prefer if they released a 7.62mm AR with TW features, much easier, cheaper, cooler and with a bigger market share, not as big as AKs, but bigger than a Tavor

Good thing about DTWs is that they are so cheap that if an expensive part blows, its better to get a new DTW and get the whole spare set and a nice upper to build from =p BTW, where do you get your PTS Pmags from? Definetly Stan-O, you are not the only one Update on the chamber, the tab is still there, almost unrecognizable after all my efforts to remove it from the hop up chamber... it is there for good and wont budge, so it looks like I will be removing it in little pieces. Any one has information on the action tabs they only have a hole and are bundled with a screw, Maybe it is for the screw to make easier the removal?

I think I will take my chances with a set of ten vanaras mags once Im sure the gun is definetly worth the investment I have discovered that the cilinder in my Max3 is a PITA to open, after a lot of swearing, sweat and a vice I managed to open it from the front, the back plate is imosible to remove, period. Orings are not in good shape, but they will suffice until my OCD kicks in. So now it is clean, lubed and downgraded. Once I fix the hop chamber I will chrono it. My hop is grey with the 10mm ported barrel. Didnt open it yet, but playing a bit with the adjuster, seems like it would work nicely. BTW: anybody know a trick on how to open the cilinder? tried both sides and both are shut like *suitcase, even heat wont ease them =S Now, looking carefully to the cilinder, the piston is fully plastic, dont know how long it can hold a 426FPS spring... not that I will use it in this cilinder, but If I decide to build a DMR, im going to need those 426FPS and probably a bit more, adjusted with the vanaras/hornbill (cant remember the name) fancy spacers

Wish I could, but the longest range I have now is like 4 or 5 meters... ^_^U anyway, I wouldnt use it stock for long range shooting, hop up mods are a must, being the sugru mod, hirobo mod or at least the MAG hop adjuster. 70€? well, thats definetly good news, and although I agree, 20€ difference is quite a bit of money, what is still putting me off both chambers is the lack of information about them, the KDM one has been around since february and the FCC one a bit more. Well, the FCC hop up is on my sights too, but this chamber sure is convenient, not because adjustment or being cheap (plenty of expensive AEG barrels out there) but because it can be Rhopped easily than a PTW one. certainly, there are mods like the sugru-mod but sugru is not strong enough to be a durable option like the silicone patch the RHop is. I think I would choose this KDM hop over a FCC, even more as both are the same price, +/- 100€

Silly question, anybody knows what this hop up is about? looks like a chamber able to take AEG barrels/buckings/nubs. Saw a couple of threads at the PTW forums and a swedish one, but is about 6 months old... Weird
