  1. That's kinda like asking, what if we took all of the WAs flaws and removed them... what point are you trying to make?

A repost from the KAC thread.
  3. Good points, just a few clarifications, there is no WE 50rnd magazine, that was a typo. I also doubt the materials used in the Gen 2 WE is worse than the stuff in the stock WA. If anything, its better. I mean the stock WA just seems cheap. The only redeeming characterstic is the fact that its a GBB.
  4. You mean the sticks of Krytox? The stuff is quite expensive grease. What specific places did you lube up?
  5. I see, but I believe they should have replaced some of the internal components. By the few reports so far, I think the function in stock form is superior to that of the WA. Don't know if I should take the plunge on the WE, even (or perhaps especially) now.
  6. I never knew that. You're saying G&P buys a bunch of WA M4s and just swaps parts out? Doesn't seem too economical for them since I'm sure they have the capability of building a clone completely, in-house, however I've always wondered why they call it "official." IBICO: Any reason why you prefer the WE in skirmishes, other than lighter magazines? The lower recoil on the WE makes me feel that it probably gets better gas efficiency than the WA. Otherwise, what other reasons? Cold weather performance? That's actually quite a big concern for me, more than half the year is below 20C.
  7. Well, hopefully it wasn't hand picked. Is the hole in the magwell problem completely gone with the 2nd release?
  8. I like what the WE rep is hinting at very much. Did they give you this model specifically for review? If so, it may not be representative of what is being sent out in general. This is becoming a more competitive segment now the G&P WA clones are out.
  9. Hm, interesting. Any details on other problems? Any time frame for the "fix" to occur?
  10. War 4 Toys has two different WEs that I haven't seen anywhere else, one with a preinstalled RAS and another with a Crane stock. Add that to the one with the RIS II clone on AirsoftBuddy.
  11. Care to give more detail on that? I see you praising the Inok and badmouthing the WE, WA, and now the G&P at every opportunity.
  12. It's comparable to December holidays in the states and the UK, so like the person above me said, it is quite a big deal. Cut him some slack, everyone needs vacation.
  13. Not sure about TMC, you should email them to ask. If they don't want to answer, then you should probably reconsidering wanting to buy from them .
  14. I think that's going a little far, seeing as it is far more "realistic" than an AEG. You can't really assume anything regarding other people's motivation for preferring an AEG over a GBB, or the WA over the WE or vice versa... both platforms have their merits and their faults. Kalmar: If anything, having multiple players in the field helps. To think that the existence of the WE system will prevent people from developing cheaper magazines for the WA, well, I don't know how that possibly is. The existence of the (competing) WE system will only push manufacturers who want to see the WA
  15. Here's one of my pathetic attempts at "studio" photography. Lighting provided by a Surefire
  16. Looking for more info on this, if anyone owns G&P parts for their WA M4.
  17. Most likely increase marginally, as it allows more distance for the chamber overpressure to do work on the BB.
  18. I think there is a plain jane version on the G&P website, just not on any retailer. What's the news on compatibility with real parts, if anyone knows? I.e., receiver front thread, buffer tube sizing?
  19. Bolt is different from chamber. You are talking about somebody with a modified WE (and no offense to that man, but modified by a person who needed help opening up his receiver to diagnose a problem). As far as my limited knowledge goes, and I interpret your "SPR" to mean an 18" barrel, there is no aftermarket 18" barrel for the WE. In fact, there are no aftermarket barrels at all. Which means this person might have, and this is purely speculation, modified some barrel, maybe an AEG barrel, to fit his WE. What is the primary incompatibility between the TM AEG barrel and the WE GBB? Well, I'm no
  20. First off all, cheese metal or not on the WE, no one has complained about durability. Buy all accounts, the bolt is steel, the receiver is aluminum, the dimensions and manufacturing tolerance good enough to fit real stuff without modification. In fact, the gen 2 WE M4 GBB is far better in stock form than a WA could ever hope to be. Second, like a lot of you said, someone needs to step up and improve the WA magazine, and, if at all possible, decrease its price. If anyone can do it, it'll be G&P, because for all we know, the PGC mags will probably work great and cost $200 each.
  21. I eagerly await more reports, the price is fantastic. This just keeps getting better and better. If this thing performs as claimed, WA will have a hard time selling any more of their own. Given this, however, there is very little chance G&P will support the WE GBB platform. jonny2400: I think all the GBBs are catered to a slightly different crowd.
  22. Damn, looks great. Kinda regret getting a Marui SIG now.
  23. Try McMaster Carr. If they don't have it, few will. Goto their site, search orings, and click square cross section.
  24. I sure hope so. 4boost, if you will, let us know the fitment of the DD barrel nut.
  25. 4boost: Looks like you installed a VLTOR FSP. Do you know what the outer barrel diameter is at gas port? 0.750"?
