dammit Anteater, you beat me to it by a few days.. I'm doing exactly that to my old Famas because I wanted it's long barrel in my 416, and now I have a short little 416 barrel for my 'Mas. so, since you have it looking how I want mine to, I'll ask how you did it. I was going to use metal to get that little connecting rail on the bottom, but the for-grip I wasn't sure how I was going to do. the dimensions on yours look exactly like how I was planning on cutting mine up too, down to about the second "grip nub". Would it be possible to transplant this gearbox into a TM or TM compatible? ((in my case the VFC 416)) I love that two part design. On another note, anyone want to buy an old but still working Mp5k PDW with metal body? no reason... *goes to check stock on various retailers*

Thanks for all the technical advice everyone, I've only skirmished mine once so far, but if it locks up and autos on me, I'll know where to go. From what I can tell, mine does the opposite, wher it won't register the change in the fire selector, and I'll find myself squeezing the trigger without it doing anything. meh, I'll take it apart one of these days. Yeah, I think it was Airtronics or someone who made a little adapter that went between the battery and wherever the battery connects. I guess it regulates the flow to only allow 3 shots when using full auto. kinda cool, and easy

is it possible to remove the pistol grip that you know of yet? I think I could probably find a full stock for it someplace, cheaper than or something.

Do you think it would be possible to throw a grip with a stock on it on? I want my boomstick.. I'm all over that 6 mili version any way.. kinda tempted towards sawing off the long version to the ash leanth, and trying to find one of those leather holsters. thanks : ) been looking for one of these for a couple of weeks after watching army of darkness again.
