I finally managed to take apart the front part of the external barrel. Funny thing is that I just wanted to take off the flash hinder and the whole front section started to come off. I also managed to install the short inner barrel which went in really easy.
Now my GBB replica looks much much better
If you changed the stock to Vltor or Magpul and the hand grip, then will be excellent.

Today just got the new design with Hop-Up inner barrels and the new hop-up rubbers. Also the Complete Upper Receiver Sets are available too.
For the new inner barrels, now just available at 363mm only. If you need 262mm, then we need to help to cut it from 363mm's inner barrels.

Just got the new information from WE today. All spare parts and reinforced parts are selling in the market, they mainly for gas charge version's WE GBB M4 (all existing versions selling in the market). For CO2, WE said that just need to order 2 small parts for exisiting's versions WE GBB M4. Then can use the CO2 mags. For the 2 small parts, WE will notice us as soon as possible. So your existing WE GBB M4 can fit for 2 kind of mags (gas charge and CO2).

do you know if wetti would send replacements for faulty parts, like my mag follower?
AB have the worldwide warranty for all WE GBB M4. AB's customer can send the problem parts to us, then we will ship back the replacement parts to you. This service is only provide to anyone who purchased the WE GBB M4 from us. For the warranty of the mags, we don't have the same worldwide warranty. But we have spare parts for sell at our store. Such as the follower, gas valve and charge valve.

Few days ago I did some test firing from my window, with a warm mag and 0.28 BBs. I was really impressed, coz @ 500fps they flew nearly 130m away!

If you use the design hop-up with inner barrel, the distance will be more. One thing I never told, this new inner barrel is 6.02mm. So the accuracy will raise up after installed to the WE M4.

With the Steel nozzle, is part 42 (the valve inside the nozzle) also made of steel?
Yes, outside and inside are made by steel.

Yes of course. You can see the hop-up is changed. And the inside of the inner barrel is anodized. So it's more smooth than before.

For the new hop-up design with inner barrels (262 and 363mm), I will place order to WE today. I hope I can get it as soon as possible to place at AB for sell.
All WE M4s that we are selling is already included the new design hop-up with inner barrel.

I've took some photos tonight about the steel nozzle assembly for WE Gas Blow Back M4. Actually this kit have 2 powers for you to choose. 300fps version and 480fps version. Only the nozzle made in steel. Please refer to the following link for both power versions.

Having used mine exclusively for the weekend skirmish the Version 1 hop definitely needs to be changed. Despite cleaning, realigning etc, I still found my hop to be ultra aggressive and always hooking to the right.
Getting the new barrel/hop combo available as a replacement item would be a good idea in my opinion. Hopefully it will eliminate the large majority of the hop related issues.
Personally, seeing some form of VSR based barrel conversion would be a dream (might not be possible though).
Also, to tighten up the shot to shot consistency the CO2 mags are definite must. I'm not sure what they'll push out using the sleeved down power nozzle, but I'm hoping that it will be useable in the UK.
Any idea how much the CO2 mags are going to be yet?
AB, do you know when you'll be getting some more Bolt Carriers in stock? Just having that unit as a switchable part is going to be tremendous.
Also, you have this new part "Stabilizer for Valve Guide Rod of WE Gas Blow Back M4". Where abouts does this part fit? I assume it goes inside the Part 38 to help centralise the rod?
Actually now we have the steel bolt carrier for sell. It's good to use on power over 350fps.
For the CO2 mag, I've asked the boss of WETTI. He said that need one more month to launch. That's what he told me on last Thursday night.
The stabilizer is hold tight the valve rod with the bolt carrier. If now without this stabilizer to hold the valve rod, it may easy to loose. So you need to use the screw driver to screw it tight again. After installed this stabilizer, then you don't need to check the valve rod loose or not.

All prices are set by WE, so we need to follow WE's prices. But you can see that a lot of replacement parts are very cheap.
And the Part #42, the one that we sell is around 300fps. It was tested by 0.2g BBs with top gas. Maybe the different weather, the power maybe different.
The new design hop-up with barrel is now available to comes with all the WE GBB M4. For standalone item, then we may need a bit while.

Hey WETTI,
It's a long shot but have you heard about anyone who is planing to produce a replica Daniel Defense barrel nut which will allow us to use the replica DD Mk.18 rail easily on our rifles.
I know of a lot of people who would love it if you said yes
A RS DD barrel nut allows you to do this but it is only available to our American brothers (DD will not ship outside the US)

As I know all china made DD Mk18 is comes with the barrel nut. My WE GBB M4 also installed the china made Mk18. The barrel just need a bit modify, then can fit for your WE M4. Just need to cut short around 2mm, then it can fit. But the outer barrel of the WE M4 also need to rip off around 1mm at the bottom. Otherwise, the barrel nut can't fully go though the outer barrel.

Airsoft Buddy, are these new batches the ones with anodized metal bodies or are they still painted? www.evike.com states that the WE M4's they will be selling are anodized. Please do let us know.
You can see the marking and words are not painted on the receiver. The finishing just same as what you see on Marui's M4. It's really nice> so I think should be anodized.
Does the new version still have the same internals (ie. still shooting 450-500+ fps)? Can you verify any of the rumors that WE will be changing the internals to accept AEG barrels? How are the CO2 mags coming along?This AFC version just have marking on it and the receiver's colour turned a little bit grey. The internals are the same. Power still over 450fps. If you want to use inner barrels of AEG, you need to modify the AEG one. It can't diretly fit to the WE M4. CO2 mags will available at January, 2009. Once I got any news, I will post out here.
AB,On the photo heading it says AFC version. So this confirms that this is the non hop version?
Well......... AFC version just have marking on the receiver. The hop up still adjustable. The different just is the marking. The internals are the same as normal version.
maybe socom gear will offer the noveske bodies as upgrade kits too.....a noveske body would be coolOh.......I want to have noveske body too. It's more cool. I want to have have one to modify my WE M4.

The new batch of WE GBB M4 is arrived on yesterday. Now we have 2 versions of this GBB rifle for sell. One of this is without any logos. The other one is with logo. For details, please refer to the following photo link.

AFC version just the color of receivers turned a little bit grey and the internals are the same as normal version. Power still over 450fps. And changed a aftermarket receivers with marking. The normal version now is with anodized receivers.
For the prices, 2 versions are the same. Both is US$360 each. Spare mags are available now. Steel bolt catch will ready at the end of December. Charging handle for replacement, now is waiting for WE's reply. Power reduce kit I think will arrive within this week.
According to WE's replied, AEG inner barrels cannot directly install to the WE M4. You need to modify the AEG inner barrel to install if want to change it.

I've passed this problem to WE about there is the hole in the magwell. WE's reply is due to they need to spare a little space for the spring, so there is a hole in the magwell. But this hole don't let the performance down. So it's ok at there.
For the charging handle problem, WE will provide a replacement for all who purchased from us. Please provide your receipt number if you need it. Or you may try to order a real charging handle for your replacement. WE said that the real one is 90% same as the WE one. You just need a bit modify for the size, then will fit it.
And all the spare mags are in grey colour that we sell.
I've saw the new sample of the WE GBB M4, the receiver's colour is turned a bit grey. If I have a chance, I will take some photos and post to here to share with all of you.

I just emailed Airsoft Buddy. He responded twice within an hour... Not bad! Best customer service I have ever known.
He confirmed that I can get the steel bolt catch late december with the magazines. He also knows about the WGC's "white rubber thing" (and also has such himself) but according to WE it reduces also the felt recoil. He told that WE is coming up with some "power restriction kit" that we can get from Airsoft Buddy after two weeks or so, which doesn't reduce the felt recoil. Sounds good!
The CO2 magazines should also be coming up in January according to WE.

WE power restriction kit for GBB M4 rifle will available after 15 days at www.airsoftbuddy.com. Once you installed it to your WE GBB M4, it can reduce the power and doesn't reduce the felt recoil. Once I got more information about it, I will post it here and our website.

I have mailed AB to show him the problem, i have good hope that he will find a solution, he have been perfect till now with everyone's problem.
Horsem4n, modifying the trigger system to make it semi only is quite easy in did. The only thing to do is to cut the rear part of the disconnector.
Look at this link http://www.bushmaster.com/anatomy_bushmaster.asp, then click "start" and in the menu click "parts".
In the list of the parts, search "disconnector", then you will see how the disconnector works : the one that is shown in the animation is the semi only model, the auto model looks like the ones you can see on this link http://www.ftfindustries.com/m16fullautopage.htm
In fact, the disconnector is the parts that retain the hammer while the trigger is pressed during the semi auto firing mode. For the auto mode, the selector push on the disconnector to avoid it to catch the hammer. If you cut the rear of the disconnector, the selector cannot push on it, then no auto fire possible.
I have look at the trigger group of my WE M4, and it's quite similar to the RS one, but i can't say if a RS disconnetor will fit in. If we can have spare parts of the trigger group, we will be able to make a disconnector for semi only and have a other one to replace it for having auto again.
Sorry to hear that your M4's upper receiver was broken when received. I've already sent the your photos to WE and request to have a spare upper receiver for your replacement. Of course, you don't need to pay. That's our service. I will ship you the replacement when I got it from WE. May need a bit time for shipping from Taiwan. Sorry for keep you waiting. I'm so sorry about that.

I just received one of my customer's reply. He told me that his WE GBB M4 received and found that just like a used airsoft rifle. I was shocked when I see the photos. It's really like used. But according to our normal procedure, we must test and double check on all items that before ship out to our customers. But this time, I don't know what happened to cause one of my customer received a WE GBB M4 like this. So I will arrange to ship a upper receiver and lower receiver to him on tomorrow for his replacement. Of course, I also will remind my colleagues to double check clearly before they ship out any items. Because I don't want to see my customers received any looks like used items.
