WHEN WILL IT END. Also, my tax rebate was way lower than expected and I can't afford one anyway. Bah.

When you're put in the wrong Tax Code, ie, You pay too much tax every month, it accumulates. Then, when HMRC realise they can't hide it any more, they send you a letter of apology, and a cheque.
