Bit of an odd question.
I've come into possession of a yugo slant akm muzzle brake. I have a dboys akms that has no brake for it.
I assume I can bring the two together?
EDIT: Got it on (I think) with the aid of a vice.

Those adjusters are always odd. On some of my kalashes it's really fast, other times I feel like I'm racking a bolt trying to alter it even a little.
-
So, you put a GHK m4 drop in gearbox into an ak, although ghk already makes ak kits.
"Is confused"

Who did you hustle out of that??
Whoever the person is, do they have another one?

The scope is a fake, and you could have gotten a real one at a similar if not same price...

Someone wishing to make my day worse...

No sight, underfolder, short mag. I'm picturing it right now.
I actually like it.
-
Snigel, that's beautiful.
-
Family Guy in the background, lol Azn (that, and finding out you actually have a youtube page, nice piano work btw).
I do like the selector switch catch for the bolt.
-
Azn, for some odd reason, that reminds me of a aks-74u-like gun from some random fps I tried out years ago.
-
Please comrade, think of the youth! Read your sig!
Snigel, that ak is without a doubt epic. You'd swear it was in Yuri Orlov's arsenal during Lord of War.
-
I knew it!
Now I am going to be envious when I see these on the field more now. Usually an svd is so rare here that seeing one brightens any game. Now I'll be like "Why don't I have one!"

I get sick and pics of a girl with a Kalashnikov appear.
-
I swear, I can't stop saying this, but keep the wood grips on, lol.
Nice to see the bolt on, since it means certain parts are now "liberated" for my project.
-
Yes, please do.
Otherwise, I like the way it's photographed. It's got a gleam from the light that says "I'm in need of dirt or the blood of my enemies" to the receiver.
It kinda reminds me of the one ak my father ever took interest in at an expo, because it had that kind of sight on it.

No encouraging future asylum patients! LOL
I believe everyone else has spoke for me regarding that "Armalite", but to each their own.
-
May I ask the brand?

^This
It makes my pangs for a proper ak74 even more tearful.

Those sir, were epic.

Was just firing mine today for some fun, and I noticed some problems that I've noticed.
1. For some reason, my mags seem to have an issue with holding rounds. Sometimes it's the bb's getting stuck in the chamber, mostly it's two or more bb's getting stuck side by side at various in the mag. I figure it's usually a result of loading mishaps, or that it's the brand of bb's. I use KSC and AE brands in various weights.
2.For some reason, it was firing way to the left today. I've never messed with the hop-up, but I figure that may be a cause, along with the loading issues and perhaps the barrel.
3.My recoil spring seems to bend slightly when in regular position. It seems a bit too long, but the gun fires alright.
I keep the gun maintained as best as I can, but I feel I am doing something wrong. Could someone chime in on the specific spots on the slide and other parts to keep lubed up? I usually pay attention to the areas with wear and overall, but I keep dreading my actions.
-
I just got back from firing a real one that a family friend had, (total surprise, life moment, even though it was just one mag in .40 caliber) and I find that the regular grip is a little small for my hands, but it felt so right in the hand though.
-
Thank you for putting this up! I've been waiting to see who would put a review up first. I cannot wait for it to come out stateside and for aftermarket frames to come out.
Your thoughts on the grip configurations? How are they compared to other pistols with similar capacity for changing the back grip plate?
-
Sheesh, it's just a joke between me an azn, I'll just delete it then if it's that upsetting.
Anyways, Azn, do you have a plan for the left over parts? I may be interested in some of the original parts.

Decided to take a few, well, lets just say not prepared photos of my three kalashes.
Dboys AKS-74, awaiting a repaint replacement reciever (stock's sling loop is broken)
Dboys AK-74mn, mag still has some tape residue from previous owner.
Dboys AKMS full steel. It's a bit of an odd gun currently, with East German Bakelite front handguards and a yugo slant brake on it (didn't have a metal original when I got it). The cleaning rod is not fitting at this time, and the sling is just the one from the box. I got a real one on the way at some point.
