  1. Sorry mate, can't fit a battery in the stock pipe as the recoil device takes up all the space in it.
  2. Can you change the spring guide by also just unscrewing the stock pipe end?
  3. Dust or dirt in the catch? Used mine at the weekend and am over joyed with it. Excellent stock range and with the hop set to .20s, 300fps.
  4. Posted this in the Socom/Sopmod thread, but this also fits without any mods on the 416 http://www.israeldefensestore.com/caa-products/butt-stock-accessories/opsm.html
  5. This one from CAA for real steel fits perfectly. Just had it delivered from Israel today, took off the stock, slid it on tightened it and way hay! http://www.israeldefensestore.com/caa-products/butt-stock-accessories/opsm.html
  6. Right, with a 7.4 lipo, with a 25c discharge rate it had a rof of 15.9 and an average fps of 308.9. This was with no fuze and the deans connector soldered directly onto the wiring running along the bottom of the stock tube. Only other thing I have done is remove all the fuze fittings and the two metal conductors.
  7. I have mate, but having a break from the workbench, just waiting for the painkillers to kick in! Will do it later on today.
  8. Well just had mine from Firesupport today, and although the trades on the box were covered over the trades on the gun were fine and untouched. Just done a lipo conversion on the stock and the rof on a decent 7.4 lipo is bloody scarey!.
  9. Well just blown all my birthday money on one! Apart from a lipo conversion all my going to do is stick a tight bore barrel in it and leave it at that. Now up to 4 next gens, sold off everything else to get them over the last couple of years.sheeeesh!
  10. Just because you may be able to doesn't mean you should. Again, like Druid ( who is a team mate) been running a Scar L, H and a Socom with 7.4 lipo and seeing other players around the UK using the same. All have said do not run on 11.1 llipo's as the design is not built for it. Mechanically and structurely they are not built for high RoF and it would be a complete waste of money to try. Upgrade if yu want to for reliability by all means but keep it as a 7.4 or 9.6 battery.
  11. Well fallen on both my L and H more than once and both are still fine. I think it's more at what angle you fall on it/hit it. Must admit I do use them folded up quite a lot.
  12. Can't get the link to work, but if it's a 7.4 lipo, then no, all my ebb's and team mates have been running on various 7.4 lipo's with no problems for the last 2-3 years.
  13. +1 mate. 7.4 lipo and a mid cap and you can't go wrong, Tried a socom and ended up with a socom, a SCAR L and an H! Just saving up for a 416 now. Can't wait for the " in anger " review.
  14. The TM Recoil Engine gearbox's use a different length spring than those used in regular AEG gearbox's, so in order to upgrade them you must use springs such as those made by Eagle 6.
  15. I'm one of Druids Team mates, and since changing to E6 m90 springs and 7.4 lipos we've had virtually no single shot lock ups. One thing essential to do is change to Deans connectors. These simple changes make a world of difference.
  16. Ten months with an upgraded spring and still going strong.
  17. A good review and basic take down guide here http://www.tkoverkill.com/showthread.php?tid=1289
  18. It is quite similar to a V2, the think to double check is the putting the bolt release parts back properly (they sit on a peg sandwiched between the 2 gear box halfs. In mine, a E6 M90 spring, bearing spring guide, a 6.03 barrel and a h nub. Runs on a 7.4lipo giving me 3335fps, and a rof of 17-18rps.
  19. An Eagle M100 will easily take it over 350 fps, with standard upgrade parts ( bearing spring guide, tightbore barrel etc), to be on the safe side an E6 M90 spring is a better bet. Mine now hits a nice 335 fps consistantly. Take down is very easy but you do need a selection od allen keys and star head keys. Just check the exploded diagram in the back of the instruction book and work from that.
