Would anyone be interested in seeing a review done on the 97B?

Last night my new Real Sword 97b came in. Here is a pic of it, along with my 97 and P90.

Yea the hopup and piston are pretty cheap. The one thing i don't like about the hopup system are the two small screws that hold it in place, pain to get to and i am afraid that i may strip one.

Will the season here is almost over so i decide to open the mechbox to see what has been going inside. The only wear and tear that i could find was the piston, see photo. Please remeber i have used the hell at of this AEG and the only battery has been a 11V lipo. So i a extreamly happy to see only the piston needed replacing, the price of a piston from ehobby is $9.99 each All the gears, shims and bushings look new.

frogfish, It's a tight fit so you are going to have to pull it out with some force. Putting it back in is also a little tight so be careful.

WOW, don't understand how that could of happened? How old is your 97 and what kind of spring were you using?

Reptile House, i like that reddot you use, it dose not add weight and yet it give it style.

I know what you mean about installing a new hop up bucking, the madbull would not fit into the chamber, ended up going with a different one. Currently i have a: Guarder SP90 Lonex 6.03mm Steel tight bore inner barrel Lonex hop 50% hard bucking and nub (on the nub i hatted the fact that i was turning my adjustment wheel up to 8 or 9, so i rapped a prometheus soft nub around the hard nub, now i only turn the wheel up to about 3) Shooting at .88 (303fps) to .91J (312fps), living in japan with the 1J law :shutup2: Yea, i could not live without the top rail on my 97 ;)

Where do you get your ideas for your pistols from? Keep them coming ;) :D

Reppyboyo, why are you selling your 2010?

I finally picked up the battery i wonted for my AK56-2 and was able to get my drum mag working with it. This thing is crazy with a 11.1v lipo (My link).

The barrel length is 485mm long, i used a 509 barrel and cut it down to the proper length.

I understand your feeling about the internal battery, its a pain and the only draw back to this AEG. That's why i went with a external battery pack, no tear down of the 97 each time you have to charge the battery. Enjoy it, its a great AEG.
