    Thing is Marui is missing a trick right there. If they released a P220 and a P228 they would sell like hot cakes. People are paying upwards of £500 for that P228 kit that you can get. Imagine if you could buy a stock P228. Same with compact 1911s. And I'm not usually fans of the smaller 1911s but that S&W 1911SC I dunno, there's just something about it that I love.

    To be fair that looks pretty good. I think it's helped by the stainless outer barrel and guide rod.

    Fair enough. I find the stainless bushing on a black gun can look a bit strange because it's such a contrast.

    The MEU and 1911A1 bushings are different though aren't they. I think the MEU one is slightly bigger.

    I think with that type of pistol a black bushing would look better. If you were going for some exotic grips the silver bushing would look rather cool.

    Oh not at all. The weights are in there I think more for structure than anything else.

    The real ones have a bit of weight behind them. I know I've got a set lol. For that if you're going to take the Kimber Warrior (Warrior) grips I'd go with the black. Anything else is going to look a bit strange.

    I'm positive that all sidearms had to be issued and personal weapons weren't allowed in the theater of conflict. Accuracy and ergonomics are what made me a 1911 fan. The added range the 6.01 gives, and better accuracy at closer ranges, are just bonuses

    It does have ridiculous range. Everyone who has ever fired my Kimber has always been shocked by how far the BB goes.

    Just looks a bit weird with silver barrel, silver bushing and then the black guide rod holder thingy. But if that's how the real one is then I can't argue with that lol.

    Love it Plante. Have you considered the long silver guide rod? Would look very cool with the silver bushing.
